Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
You can just start one; probably in Short-Term Projects.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI don't think this is true, though? I haven't seen one confused with the other or both at once, maybe there was one time but I disagree with this being a problem that'd need a project.
Edited by Piterpicher Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods Of Incremental)General Zaroff is stated to start off genuine but than turn to faux. Same with Dracula. Many really evil and monstrous characters have been labeled AE when they are faux at best. Many chatacters later deemed C Ms were once labeled AE.
I mean, there was certainly confusion back when Faux Affably Evil was called "Evilly Affable". I don't know how much of that has stuck around since the rename — theoretically any misuse caused by the old name would've been removed during the rewicking process, but I know from experience that that doesn't always actually happen.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Lots of tropes get condtantly misused. Famous Last Words states it's only for meaningful last words rather than listing any last words a character says, but clearly the latter is done instead. Anyway, I started it here: with this link.
I have noticed that Affably Evil and Faux Affably Evil are very often confused with each other, to the point that I have seen characters listed as both without the entries noting that the character zigzag from one to another. I know it's possible to be both at different times, but still, there is so much confusion that I want to suggest a cleanup thread.
