Thoughts on giving The Scrappy a 2 week or 6 month (Base-Breaking Character has 6 months) waiting period?

I don't think it helps that the plot was leaked not too long ago, so other than knee-jerk reactions, there might be some who were just waiting for the second the game was released to put reactions to it.
I'm down for a waiting period, at least a few weeks.

The character in question already has an Unintentionally Unsymaptheic entry. I need to check if it’s legit but that kinda make the scrappy entry redundant.
I'd cut The Scrappy, but for Unintentionally Unsympathetic, I will say that I have seen loads of comments akin to "Am I supposed to feel sorry for this character? Because I don't!"

Unintentionally Unsympathetic may be warranted, but there’s also a lot of Fourth Wall Myopia with that character. I would give that either 6 months/2 weeks.

It was locked because of the leaks and was unlocked because it was finally released. The reception was an entirely different matter.
For what it's worth, any discussion about putting a waiting period on tropes should go to the No Recent Examples Thread
. The Scrappy has been brought up there and is currently on the crowner for a six-month waiting period. You can discuss or vote on that thread to help move things along.

I've denied the relocking request. The problems don't seem that bad yet and there are a number of legit additions.

Just letting you guys know that The Last of Us Part II is proving to be a divisive entry, someone already put The Scrappy despite the game not being out for 24 hours (and takes 20+ to actually play) with an unsubstantiated rumor/fan theory, not sure if needs a lock for now but maybe just needs to be looked at from time to time to avoid the inevitable Edit War.
