Maybe we can try sending a PM?

Actually, if you look at their Edit History, they're deleting a lot of information with absolutely no Edit Reason as to why they're doing so. These are just the latest ones:

Their edit on Dragon Lady basically turned it into a ZCE.

I'll send a notifier for that one while I look over the other edits.

In another example, they've deleted an entire YMMV entry from the YMMV.Black Mirror USS Callister page on May 4th. And I know that deleting YMMV items is iffy, because those entries are based on opinions and as such should be kept unless there's a very good reason for a deletion.

Hmm, seems like we’ve got a problem...

Also, if you look at the YMMV.Atypical page, they deleted the Darkness-Induced Audience Apathy trope on May 31st without an Edit Reason. Afterwards, tropineasily added Hype Backlash on June 4th, but then Carlisle Weiss deleted it the next day without an Edit Reason.

So it's not just Main Page entries; they're doing this a lot in YMMV entries. Which, again, are based on opinions and generally, we're supposed to respect those opinions, and if I'm not mistaken, we should only delete entries if we give a very good and valid reason for doing so.

And now they deleted yet another YMMV example (from the YMMV.Rugrats page), with no Edit Reason as to why they're doing so.

I really think a moderator needs to talk to them at this point, because, again, it's generally not appropriate to delete YMMV examples without explaining why they're being deleted, and there needs to be a very good reason for the deletion. I learned this from Berrenta around three years ago: I asked "I thought YMMV examples should never be deleted specifically because they're Audience Reactions?" and they replied "It's correct that YMMV should not be deleted, though there are some cases in which a deletion would be justified."

This troper has a habit of deleting YMMV examples outright with no Edit Reason.

mouschilight, have you sent any notifiers or PM's?

It took a bit writing the PM because there was more than one YMMV deletion involved, but I have sent them a PM notifier for Deleting YMMV items for all the ones I mentioned above, at least.

I sent them a notifier yesterday when I posted here, but they have yet to respond.

I sent them two PMs (one I mentioned above, another one shortly after about the non-YMMV examples). And yet, even after I sent them those PMs, they still made large deletions with no Edit Reasons. So they seem to be ignoring the notifiers sent by both me and Arctimon.

They've been suspended.

Do we have permission to revert their edits? I ask because I'm not sure if by re-adding their deletions, it'd be considered an Edit War, which I want to avoid.

Their most recent deletions prior to their suspension are pretty bad.

  • For Pink Girl Blue Boy, they deleted the entire Disney part due to what they claim was simply Natter. Simply saying "removing Natter" when deleting a very large section is not enough context nor reason for the deletion.
  • They deleted all of the Image Links in the Pink Girl Blue Boy image links page. Now, for this case, I checked all of the images in question, and it's true that all of those links don't exist anymore. However, the thing is, now the Image Links page isn't even available anymore specifically because this troper completely deleted all of the links.
  • They deleted everything in the Cloudcuckoolander Real Life section. Just like in the second bullet, now the Cloudcuckoolander Real Life page isn't even available anymore specifically because this troper completely deleted all of the information in it.

And, IIRC, you cannot completely delete information from an entire page until you get approval for said page to get cut. This troper did not do that—they just deleted literally everything from the Pink Girl, Blue Boy Image Links page and the Cloudcuckoolander Real Life page.

I really think these edits, plus all of the ones I mentioned above, need to be reverted, but I don't want to cause an Edit War by re-adding their deletions. If I get an approval, I'm more than happy to help out, even though it'll take a while.

Revert the blanket deletions. If a page got blanked for something what would be valid example removals (breaking rules, having entirely broken links, etc.), those can be cutlisted.
