The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
Yes. Tropes Are Flexible, especially when the description gets ridiculously specific like that.
Edited by Scorpion451^ Thanks. Do you think I should raise this at the Trope Description Improvement Drive thread?
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaMight be worth at least a mention, but that one's simultaneously so short and over-specific that it's more Needs A Better Description territory (basically the TV Tropes counterpart to This article is a stub) if you don't feel like tackling the rewrite yourself.
Edited by Scorpion451I've to object and say this is distinctive enough to be its own trope, with the mention of being a sub-trope of Picnic Episode. As said before in the draft, there's not even one mention to BBQ in the Picnic trope, as well not all BBQ has to be done in a public place like a park or a camping, usually they're made in backyard gardens in houses.
Also, I agree the trope should be retooled since as I see it, it's very draft-ish, even the BBQ draft seems more complete than that one, IMO. Maybe throwing back to TLP and remake it??
Picnic Episode currently defines "picnic" rather strictly as "pack up a basket full of food consisting of sandwiches, cookies, lemonade, potato chips, pies, cakes, etc. and head out, usually to the outdoors, whether a garden, a park, countryside, or even into the wild".
But as many tropers do realize, in many countries people tend to grill in similar trips. Does Picnic Episode apply to those trips, then?
