Didn't we already remove something like this from other pages like UsefulNotes.Steam and Website.Game Jolt? Shouldn't those games be removed from the page entirely?
Edited by pikachu17 17 pikachus all in a row.Right, there's actually been a lot of discussion around this, and the consensus is that distribution platforms shouldn't do indexing.
Edited by WarJay77 Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessIs it a distribution platform? Isn't it the console the games run on?
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Mmm, true, though there is the Switch Store...
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessThe Nintendo Switch is not a distribution platform, which means its page should index its games.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I went ahead and restored the tags manually.
I came across another page with the same issue; RockRaider removed index tags from Platform Game just a few days ago. No edit reason given, so I don't know if he/she knew what they were there for. And unlike the Switch page, the edit history doesn't indicate where most of the tags were originally. A revert would be the fastest way to get the tags back in their proper places.
I took care of it. I know the mods are busy.
Can a mod please do a restore on UsefulNotes.Nintendo Switch?
Last fall, I went through the Nintendo console pages to insert index tags so that only games would get indexed, not franchise pages or anything else that might get linked.
A few weeks ago, The Tropper removed them all from the Switch page with the edit reason "For those that hadn't noticed. Most of these 'index' formats are causing most of the titles to not have a Nintendo Switch index label on their page." — not realizing that that was exactly the point in adding them in the first place.
There are a few minor edits after the Tropper's that will have to be re-done afterward; but I can do those manually.
EDIT: I think I just realized why he did it. I saw that one of the tags had a typo, so a group of links legitimately weren't being indexed when they should have been. Still requesting the restore; just something else to fix afterward.
