Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Amazing Grace is widespread enough for its own trope. Some other Standard Snippets aren't.
Well... if you look at the Ride of the Valkyrie page it has a ton of examples, and isn't the point of Standard Snippet that they're all widespread? It all looks very arbitrary to me.
^ Then the only reason Ride Of The Valkryie isn't a separate trope page is that nobody has made an actual Ride Of The Valkyrie page.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI was on mobile for my last comment so I didn't check fully. "Ride of the Valkyries" does have its own page, Music.Ride Of The Valkyries... which contains no examples about the "work" itself and is mostly about its appearance in other works.
TL;DR: We fucked up. It should be made a trope; I'll go ahead and send it to the namespace thread.
Bumping this. According to Fighteer, they should all be in Music, and examples under Standard Snippet. Should there be a cleanup project for this?
Is there a reason why some of the Standard Snippet subpages are under Music/ (eg. Ride of the Valkyries) and list examples as Standard Snippet (eg. "Standard Snippet: Ride of the Valkyries plays as Alice rides into battle"), while some are under Main/ (eg. Amazing Freaking Grace) and list examples as themselves (eg. "Amazing Freaking Grace: This plays at Alice's funeral")?
