Would Writers Cannot Do Math and Sci-Fi Writers Have No Sense of Scale count (real life isn't sci-fi obviously, but it's still the same basic idea.)
Edited by BootlebatIn fiction it would be a small subsection of Overly Long Name I would think. If played for laughs, it could be Overly Long Gag. Overly Long name could be applied to real life too in that case. After all, Tropes Are Flexible.
Is there a trope for when some company or other institution gives people ID numbers (Or similar things) that are way too long? Definitely happens in real life as I've had some things (I forget what) give you a number with like 15 or 16 digits, even though there's only 7.6 billion or so people in the world so 10 digits would be more than enough for everyone.
