I feel I should provide some context for those unfamiliar with RWBY. Qrow and Raven are Fraternal Twins from the Branwen Tribe, a group of amoral bandits. They were sent to Beacon Academy to become Huntsmen so as to learn how to kill Huntsmen, but Qrow chose to stay after learning he could make a difference as a true huntsman. Raven meanwhile was too loyal to the tribe, and even after being made aware of the Secret War, and mothering a daughter in the form of the one of the protagonists Yang, she ran off back to the tribe, only periodically spying on Yang to make sure she's okay. Qrow meanwhile would occasionally contact her for information, as well as try to convince her to join up with him and go back to Yang. During the events of the fifth volume, Raven is approached by the antagonists in the Secret War and they force her to work with them. She realizes she's suffering a Morton's Fork in that she either pretty much sells her soul or dies. So she decides to Take a Third Option: pretend to work with them, steal what they're after, then cut and run. To make them think she's serious, she claims she wants them to kill Qrow, and appeals to one of their egos to make it happen. When Raven and Qrow meet again, Qrow attacks her under the belief she actually did join the antagonists, leading to this exchange:
There could be a supertrope to You're Not My Father and I Have No Son!
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza
Hello once again. Is there a trope where a person renounces family members that aren't children or parents in general (i.e. siblings, cousins, etc.)?
Example: Qrow and Raven Branwen in RWBY
