The scene that implies Palpatine created Anakin is part of a twisted vision Vader is experiencing. He fears that to be the truth of his origins, but I don't think there's meant to be a clear answer.

I've heard some people claim the writer said it's not meant to be taken literally, but I've not been able to find a source for such claims.

In old canon, it was Plagueis who was responsible, with aid from Sidious, and by accident. In Lucas' script for ROTS Palpatine claims to be responsible, but we only have his word, and the line was ultimately cut.

I get the feeling the troper is forcing the entry. At the very least, it needs to be rewritten so that it's not stating their relationship as fact, merely a possibility acording to suplementary material.

From my understanding of it Palpatine did it via biomanipulation, so she's still a Truly Single Parent.

Oh yeah, there's aboslutely no dna transfer in Anakin's creation. That's why I said the troper is forcing the entry. I feel its there just to take a pot shot at Reylo in order to discredit the relationship.

Even if he had a "hand" therefore a part in Anakin's creation how cannon is the comic. So it's addition cannon wise is iffy.

Under Disney's rules, every new SW content produced is meant to be canon, though they have already began engaging in new products retconning older ones. The comic, if it actually depicts what happened and is not just a vision of Vader's fears, is canon until something replaces it.

While technically the "father" of Anakin, and in a sense his grandfather. No definate DNA exchange is in effect. Does this mean that spirtually or technically he is Kylo grandfather? Just trying to figure out the logistics.

According to this Palpatine is NOT anakin's 'father.'

Misstress added Kissing Cousins edits on Dec. 19th and Your Mind Aches removed them. Then Misstress added Incest Is Relative the next day Dec 20th, and Apocrypha removed them. Both sets of edits went for the 'they're related' thing.
