Well yeah, but I am looking for something with a philosophical edge to it. Someone who doesn't merely seek to deceive their victim, but claims that their deceptions allow them to alter reality.

The first one sounds like a more aggressive version of I Reject Your Reality.

(Also, you're talking about the Party's philosophy from 1984, right?)

^^ I am talking about Epistemological Nihilism applied in a story, but yes, Party would be an example.

It seems to be this annoying area where there is no trope that truly fits what I mean, but there are too many similar tropes to justify me launching a new one.
