According to the discussion and new definitions, if they're meant to be an actual, existing animal rather than their own animal-like species, they would go under Funny Animal, no matter how humanoid their proportions are

But that means that the sliding scale of anthropomorphism (or scale of funny animals) no longer makes any sense. That should've been taken into account before any merging took place. Was it even brought up?
So it should be either cut or marked as obsoleted article, am I right?

I firmly disagreed as well because Petting Zoo people and Funny Animals tend to have completely different narrative and design intentions but that's something for the forums and not ATT.
The term funny animal predates TV Tropes (and the characters don't have to actually be funny, despite the name), in contrast to how Petting-Zoo People is a term TV Tropes came up with for a specific type of Funny Animal.
So, the Petting-Zoo People page apparently got deleted because people thought it was a duplicate of Beast Man. This is something I'd like to dispute someday, since Beast Man declares that the animals in question are a separate fantastic race from animals, while Petting-Zoo People are simply animals with human proportions, which I feel is distinct from Funny Animal.
If a animal has simply a humanoid body, like Star Fox, would it be Funny Animal or Beast Man? I am confused.
