Example?

We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza

Without a specific example, the best suggestion I can make is Plot Hole.

If not for this anchor I'd be dancing between the stars. At least I can try to write better vampire stories than Twilight.

The two examples I can think of are Stephanie Brown's ghost showing up to talk to Cass in Batman, when she had faked her death, and Superman meeting his father's ghost in the underworld during the Reign Of The Supermen storyline.

Classic comic book Retcon.

pictures for sad children did this in one comic as a weird Magic Realism gag. It wasn't even a plot hole or retcon: the main character could see his father's ghost haunting his apartment while simultaneously talking over the phone with his actually-still-alive father.

I didn't write any of that.

An Astral Projection, Not a Ghost or Living Memory, maybe, if it's intentional that the ghost is supposed to appear though the character isn't really dead
