The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.
No, and no.
Those are ways Super Mode can be played for drama.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaThe first depends on the motivation for wanting to be in super mode all the time-
- if they want to be in supermode because they like the rush and the power, you might be looking at tropes like New Ability Addiction, Drunk on the Dark Side, or Drunk with Power
- if they want to be in super mode all the time because they (correctly or incorrectly) feel like they're too weak without them, you might have Useless Without Powers, Brought Down to Normal, or Magic Feather
The second would be Phlebotinum Dependence, the phlebotinum in this case being their super mode.
Disability-Negating Superpower is often related- a good example is Comic Book/Deadpool having well-past-late-stage cancer that's only just barely canceled out by his Healing Factor. Power Nullifiers are essentially lethal for him.
If the superpower itself is killing them when they aren't in super mode, you might be looking at tropes like Pent-Up Power Peril or Toxic Phlebotinum
