Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
Character pages are a continuation of the work page. It's redundant to have the same trope/example listed twice on a page.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here. However, if a trope applies to a character, it should go on the character page, not the main page. So whoever reverted your edits went the wrong way around.
The edit reason given is "This is a story trope and already has an example on the main page."
To debate character/story, it should be taken to discussion. Link to TRS threads in project mode here.
What about a character trope that applies to multiple characters in a work (example: Semi-Divine)? Should that be on the main page, with multiple bullets below, or only on the characters page, with a different entry for each character?
"It's just a show; I should really just relax"It should be on the character page multiple times.
Yesterday, I had my edits to the Characters. The Incredibles page suffer a near-Total Party Kill on the grounds that most of them already had entries on the main work page. Is there anything that says an example can't be on both the main work and character pages?
