As your friendly neighborhood Admin Team, the gang here at TVTropes HQ is always working to improve the site.
Many of those improvements begin with suggestions posted right here, on the Community Wishlist. Is there a feature you really want on TVTropes? Post it.
Is there something we could be doing better? We want to know. Do you think we look fat in these pants? We were totally afraid of that. See a bug? Report it.
Important things to know:
- We're all about that content-creation life! The top contenders for our attention are ideas that'll create more content, like the video uploading feature, or speed up launching new pages. On the flip side, design or layout tweaks won't be our top priority.
- Help us dig through the goldmine of old wishlist items! If you have an old request gathering dust or spot one you're totally on board with, give it a bump and a like. There's a treasure trove of 6+ years' worth of ideas just waiting to be rediscovered. Items without enough love may not make the cut and will be closed.
- Was your wishlist item locked up without an explanation? It was most likely disapproved or just too big of a task versus the benefit it would ultimately have. Time is precious, and we want to focus on updates with the biggest bang for the buck. Don't be discouraged though! We appreciate every idea and we're always listening.
We already have a notifier for namespaces, it's included in the work title formatting one.

I see your point - I've sent a few of those notifiers for namespace-less links but I've had messages back of editors not understanding because the link still appears blue without the namespace
Maybe I'm over thinking the namespaces but the worklinks are important, especially for upcoming works

Seems like another solution could be to have blank Main/ pages always produce a redlink. Coinciding with the effort to cut Main/-to-work redirects, it might be doable.

Well it seems that they went with the Main/ Redlinks idea though I'm still looking for a way to encrouage users to link to work pages
Editors are still removing links for example links to Metroid Prime 4 were pointlessly removed from the e3
page and other pages even though there is a message at the top of the page saying not to do that
Heck, I linked page and left a paragraph explaining on the page explaining then was immediately undone by next edit for no reason
No offense, but I think the issue with this is that you aren't proposing a solution, which is what the wishlist is for.

I mean a specific solution. As in, it needs to be the point of the post here, explaining your idea and why it'd help.

More and more I'm seeing users not linking to works when they add examples or potholing it to another related work or removing links or even even linking it to The Other Wiki/IMDB when the work doesn't have a page yet, something that goes against the Tips for Editing and Red Link. It makes it very hard to find any links when a page is created especially when the title is generic phrase or word like Undead or The Amazing Spider-Man tv series
It may need it's own notifier and/or a site wide announcement or something
Edited by jormis29On a related note, several users are not using namespaces for work links since they still appear blue, so that might need their own notifier/announcement/whatever- Now wrong namespace appears as red
