Many of those improvements begin with suggestions posted right here, on the Community Wishlist. Is there a feature you really want on TVTropes? Post it.
Is there something we could be doing better? We want to know. Do you think we look fat in these pants? We were totally afraid of that. See a bug? Report it.
Important things to know:
- We're all about that content-creation life! The top contenders for our attention are ideas that'll create more content, like the video uploading feature, or speed up launching new pages. On the flip side, design or layout tweaks won't be our top priority.
- Help us dig through the goldmine of old wishlist items! If you have an old request gathering dust or spot one you're totally on board with, give it a bump and a like. There's a treasure trove of 6+ years' worth of ideas just waiting to be rediscovered. Items without enough love may not make the cut and will be closed.
- Was your wishlist item locked up without an explanation? It was most likely disapproved or just too big of a task versus the benefit it would ultimately have. Time is precious, and we want to focus on updates with the biggest bang for the buck. Don't be discouraged though! We appreciate every idea and we're always listening.
Seconded. This is especially the case when you're trying to find edits by certain... trouble tropers and it's annoying CTRL+Fing to their name, then scrolling down their long edit to find the reason.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.
Thirded. It would help if I could see the reason before the edit so I know what I'm getting into.

Fifth. Bottom edit reasons make the history really hard to read. (so does the lack of "context" link for added lines, but that's another problem)

Seconding / bumping. Having the Edit Reason next to the Editor's name makes much more sense and keeps one from an annoying amount of scrolling.
There is a current development task to improve the format of the history pages. We'll see what it looks like when we can preview it and then request additional changes like this.

Think it amy be an improvement. The empty space kinda bothers me, but I don't have other ideas for it.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup
It doesn't bother me. I think this update could be helpful if someone makes huge edits and leaves a short reason why—although it could become a problem for tropers who leave massive edit reasons.

@kory. Ya, that's basically it. That's how it was originally many years ago before the site got revamped. I've gotten used to it nowadays, but I do find myself having to go down real far to find the edit reason every once in awhile.

requested that i put it on the top and the bottom for convenience sake? If you read through a long edit its there at the bottom so no need to scroll back up or if you want to see the reason before diving in then its also there.

If the edit is really long, it can be kind of difficult to find the comment left behind by the person who made the edit since they're now at the bottom of it.
