Your mama may have had eyes in the back of her head, but our admin team just can't see everything at once. It takes a village to make sure TVTropes is running the way it should, so when it comes to spotting tech snafus, dreaming up a better digital mousetrap, or just diagnosing plain old asshattery, the quicker you let us know something's up, the quicker we can address it. See a bug? Point to it and we'll squash it. Have idea for a new feature? Post in the Tech Wishlist.
NOTE: Do not post duplicate bug queries, please check existing queries to see if your issue has already been reported and then comment on it.
Yeah, that's been happening to me too.
Same here. It's disorienting. Seems that it happens if there's been at least one new page since the last post you were viewing; otherwise it takes you to the last-viewed post as normal.
I have a message from another time...Ditto for me. It's happening on Google Chrome for me. Not sure about other browsers.
relevant forum post, different post same thread, ditto/informative, ditto/partial explanation.
Further information: The bug occurs when a thread is selected from the subforum list, but not when it is selected from the watchlist. What seems to be happening is the page number is always set to the last page. (It is supposed to be set to floor((postNumber-1)/25)+1.) Happens on all browsers and platforms.
Edited by war877Ah, thanks war. I did a search for "forum" and nothing came up . Given that was the broadest term I could think of, it didn't occur to me to try more specific ones.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Still happening to me.
Still happening on my end as well. Glad to see I'm not the only one here.
This was resolved with a code push. Closing.

Recently, more often than not, going to a forum thread I've visited takes me to the top of the last page no matter what my last viewed post was. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. Just kind of annoying.
