Hm! I created Community/DwarfFortress and I know of Audience/TeamFortress2... how many of these are out there?

There are no others — those are the only pages in those namespaces.

This is the page that tells you how large a namespace is: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/articlecount.php

This is a great idea. Audience reactions and YMMV are not the same thing, they just are both on the YMMV index to keep it off the main page. We need this to become an official thing.

I'm almost positive that this got an admin veto because it veers too far from the mission of the site - we are about works and tropes, not fandoms. Furthermore, such pages are almost automatic targets for trolling and Flame Wars, and as such are a temptation to evil merely by existing — heck, merely by the thought that they could exist.

Did this get an admin veto? Quote him on this.

> we are about works and tropes, not fandoms.
That's why we don't have a single trope related to fandom and what fandom does in any way, shape, or form, neither can tropes exist in fandom-created content.

Another interesting question. YMMV is a subjective trope. Memetic Mutation is subjective how?

YMMV also includes Audience Reactions, since they're not part of the work.

It's not, it's an Audience Reaction, which we group with YMMV tropes on the YMMV page.

And I was ninja'd.

D'oh. And the cluttered, cluttered mess that is /ymmv/, continues.

But wait, what about fan works?

Fan works are works, they get their own pages.

See The Nameless Mod or the vast amount of fanfic pages.

Or unpublished works, etc.

Again, I have to ask: Have you heard of any other websites? Any at all? Do your complaining on one of those, because that's not what this site is about.

This thread went a very stange place.

I'll state the obvious: that the two such pages that exist are both clean and productive, both entirely without complaints or flames, and both serving an important purpose: Dwarf Fortress and Team Fortress 2 were a bit of a mess before being split.

Ghilz, youtube fanvideos that are notable in a work's community only do not deserve their own page.

Eponymous Kid, if you are going to talk down to me, insult me while you're there. I'm not complaining, I'm just Saiyan that /YMMV/ is, in my experience, a cluttered mess and community pages I've seen worked excellently.
