Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I think it's just the usual issue where people keep mistaking Trope Finder for search (even though the search is right there in the upper right corner, and TF explains where clearly right at the top what it is and what it's for, but I guess some people just can't freaking read). I guess it's a bit weird that different tropers have been "searching" for the exact same thing, but "Enemies to lovers" is a fairly popular trope, so I doubt there's anything nefarious going on. Just your usual run-of-the-mill lack of reading comprehension
Yeah, I understand, but looking closer at the screenshot, I'm noticing that all the tropers that made that "enemies to lovers" posts made their TV Tropes account the same day as they posted the question on the Trope Finder. For example, Troper/leksana1 joined this site in October 2023, and in the 19th of the same month, posted the first of these "enemies to lovers" thing.
There's always the possibility that I'm looking too deeply in this, but to me this smells of ban evader.
If someone can instruct me on how to upload my screenshot, I can show you what I mean.
Oo oo ah ahWe actually attempted a TLP for this a little while ago, but it failed because the definition was too broad and overlapped with other stuff.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure Pureness^We could try again. I think the core issue is that the term "enemies to lovers" as used off-wiki really is quite broad: it's more like what we would call a supertrope. But I think we'd have to hash out how to handle it in Trope Talk rather than go straight to TLP.
Yeahhh.
As for the issue discussed with the different posters, I really wouldn't worry about it. Many people make accounts solely to post on Trope Finder.
Edited by WarJay77 Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI think the reason why there are so many title only posts for "Enemies to lovers" is because it's kind of a self-explanatory trope name. Plus, "Enemies to lovers" has been discussed so much off site, that the people making the post might've assumed that we're already familiar with the concept.
^"Sorry, no discussion with that id exists."
Keet cleanup^Fixed the link, don't know what happened there.
Yet another such empty query from what appears to be a recent account, not sure what's going on
Edited by FlorestanI'm starting to wonder if this is some half-assed attempt at a DDOS attack. Or possibly one-percent-assed.
Edited by StarSwordYep, this one's yet another new post. Some of us would be thinking it's becoming suspect. And all of us are thinking it's becoming annoying.
I'm gonna check the different troper accounts to look for other hints.
Oo oo ah ah^^ What's a DDOS attack?
For every low there is a high.^ The acronym stands for distributed denial-of-service. You can read about it in a Wikipedia article here, but basically it involves spamming a site with junk from multiple sources to slow it down or even crash it.
THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!I think it would take a lot more than Trope Finder junk posts, tho.
There are no "hints". These tropers almost never have edit history and beyond only surface level observations only the mods can figure out anything else.

In the Trope Finder, I've noticed that from October 2023 we've had 3 different instances of a troper making a post titled "Enemies to lovers", with no further explaination added. They are almost always ignored.
What's interesting is that it's not the same troper spamming the same half-baked question every time. Each time it was a different troper, all making the same style of post. Should I be concerned or not?
I made a screenshot of it, but I have yet to learn how to upload images here.
