Was there a PM sent? Did they know that there was consensus to remove it? Was there an attempt on them to fix the example in the way that the thread pointed out?
Well, they attempted to justify
the inclusion but I removed it thanks to here. It is also worth noting that the troper has had a history of misusing Jerkass Has a Point for "when character said a harsh but true thing or when they do a questionable but justifiable thing without them truly being a Jerk".

Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.
Pre-character development, Eli is extremely stern and repeatedly tries to convince the group to give up before they've really had the chance to prove themselves, even though other characters, including the school's director, have shown them their support.
Don't know if that helps.

Eli is absolutely not a jerk. She's strict, as said above, and that goes away with character development.
She has reasons for not wanting the girls to form an idol group, too. So I absolutely disagree with her being a jerk at all.

What strikes about them (speaking as someone without much knowledge Love Live) is that Eli doesn't seem like a jerk. Does she impede the progress of the others? Yes. But it's because she is cautious about failure, not because she is a jackass who wants to and has may have a point about it.
I would like more opinions on this though.
