I feel like this is one of those "first come, first served" sort of things, where one format is not particularly useful over another one.
Personally, I would use either quotes or italics for attack names, but that's just me.
I'd match the in-universe formatting (counting subtitles, menus and the like here). If none, then first come first served.
The thing is. I can't remember if,in the Trails games, they actually say their attacks in the game's cutscenes. Cause from what I can remember I only hear them calling their attacks in the battles.
If anyone wants to correct me, please do.

Bumping, but the UI of the Trails game don't have anything fancy. So for now, I think we'll leave them plain texed unless someone has another opinion about it. Since according to here
wheter or not they call attacks in the games cutscenes are somewhat inconsistent (with only 3 characters, one of whom only did it once).
But what about the other games thta have a similar issue.

Bumping this thread, because I started playing Trails Into Reverie and right off the bat, Calling Your Attacks are in full force. No quote marks. So should we put quote marks on them or not?

If the attack names aren't in quote marks, then I think it's okay for them to go without quote marks on this site as well.

( This was originally posted on the Trails Cleanup thread but I decided to ask again here since it might apply to other game series other than the Trails Series)
So I've been exchanging dms with Mr Derpy Kid 2 about how to approach attacks names.
To keep it brief, they've been removing the qoute marks on both nicknames and attack names on various pages on Characters.Trails Series. While I'm fine with the nicknames qoute mark being removed, I'm admittedly a bit more iffy on the attack names. According to them, many of the attack names and orbal arts are said in-universe, but I'm still not 100% sure if that's a warrant on removing quote marks. It doesn't help that, according to this ATT
, there's no definitive way of marking attacks on this site (wheter or not if the characters call out attack names).
So my best option now is to ask here, so we can make a definitive decision.
