Yes, the trope should be present in the trailer. The page tropes the work's advertising before the work is released.

To add on to ^, a reminder that the work's release doesn't mean that you (plural) should remove the trailer citations. As Speculative Troping says, "trailers, previews and the like may differ from the published work." The tropes aren't present in the work until you have seen it in the work, partly because the marketing may be using a slightly (or majorly) different execution of the same trope, if they even do use the same tropes.

More accurately, it's until you have verified it to be present in the work. This technically doesn't require experiencing it yourself, as seen three years ago with Pokémon Masters.
