Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I don’t think there is one, but I’m confused as to why you would need one.
Trope Epitaph: Cut Tropes is a good approximation.
Edited by PurpleEyedGumaA complete list? I guess you could start at the Recent Cuts page, but there are (as of now) 8,366 pages to get through. At 20 cuts shown per page, that's 167,230 cuts, dating from now to May 2010.
and the majority of those are going to be work pages and subpages, not trope pages. tropes getting cut is actually pretty rare, though more common than it used to be. work pages and subpages get cut for being stubs a lot more often.
Another way is either reading Repair Shop Morgue (there's a lot and most of them aren't cuts) and the Newsletter (a relatively recent thing).
No, we're not logging cut tropes, but we do renames and splits. (Quite odd.)
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanup^It makes sense. Those are indices meaning they have existing blue links that can be added and serve the navigation purpose of locating the new page of tropes that have been renamed or split, something tropers may actually want as the concept of the trope still exists in some form on site.
For cut tropes tho there is no blue link as they don't exist. An index would serve 0 purpose because it would go nowhere and the idea is unlikely to be covered on site anymore, otherwise the page would be a disambig (which has its own index under Ambiguity Index) or a redirect.
Edited by amathieu13I know there are some sandbox cleanup pages (like Sandbox.Appearance Tropes Cleanup) which list some cut tropes, though I don't know if there's a complete list.
FWIW I started a Wiki Talk thread a while back about creating a timeline for TRS changes in general, including cuts. I still think it might be a good idea.
