Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.

The Base-Breaking Character page itself says it has to be at least six months since the character became disliked. If the arc has only been going for about 20 chapters and they're released weekly, that's not long enough for a character introduced during it to qualify.
Edited by homogenizedYMMV isn't for arguments, it's for noting what some degree of readers say. There are however different problems here:
- If you say it's still ongoing then I'd rather hold on to adding Arc Fatigue until it's finished and reviews on it can be summarised.
- Base-Breaking Character can't be written in future tense, this isn't WMG, so only the second sentence fits. It's also under No Recent Examples, Please!, so it should be removed outright.
Thanks for the responses. I linked this page in my reason for removal.
A follow up. The Heartbreaker Arc has ended, or at least it is in the final bits of resolution. However, I don't know where any reviews are to examine this fact. Someone has tweaked one preexisting fatigue example to now include two arcs.
- The Harvest Festival and Heartbreaker Promotional Exam arcs can fall into this due to the simple fact they're two of the more lengthy arcs of the series at 41 chapters and 43 chapters respectively, which are twice as long as the Battler Party Arc listed above.
As I said, I don't know where reviews are found. I tried googling information but didn't see any. Is simple length of arc enough to complain about? Should these include descriptions of slow character movement, pointless tangents, and the like? The other example talks about how the anime padded some episodes out to make one chapter a whole episode and so delay the final confrontation with the bad guy of the Battler Party Arc.
The example is still badly written and should probably be cut.
Arc Fatigue isn't "arcs are notably long", it's "A degree of viewers get impatient because the arc stretches out reaching its conclusion or keeps changing its end goals", emphasis on Fatigue, the more annoying factors displayed the clearer the example. Also "X: Can fall into this..." is poor wording and should be avoided in principle.
You can google up Reddit, Youtube or MAL episode comments to see if someone else thinks this way.

In Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun the current arc has lasted only 20-something chapters and seems about 2/3rds way through. But already someone has put up an Arc Fatigue YMMV example, and Base-Breaking Character targeting the Fledgling First Years Iruma's class has to protect and one in particular. I don't look at the fandom on any media boards, so I am ignorant if they are that divisive as required by the definition, but isn't there like a waiting period to add Base-Breaking Character?
Here are the examples posted:
Personally, I think the length is fine right now. With as many students, 39 total, plus a dozen teachers, the length to show each of them even for a short part makes the length justifiable, and some don't even have that long in appearances. And the purpose of the arc is to show the teacher dominating and devastating the Misfits to break them of their dangerous pride. Each student needs to show some growth before the defeat.
