Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I would think if they are derailing threads, then yes it would be advisable.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meYes. At worst the mod can tell you they don't find posts troublesome.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI'm not sure if it counts as them derailing a thread; it's one of those hangout threads in Yack Fest and only one other user besides myself showed concern for them.

Pray you, love, remember."Knowing who you're talking about, I've been concerned about this user as well, in part due to that wonk and also because they just seem to be a bit overly negative and erratic in general. But I've not hollered because nothing has been too over the line? It's a combination of smaller things.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessAlso, we're not equipped (or willing even) to provide mental health services. If a person is constantly talking about a traumatic event (even if it doesn't rise to self harm levels), they need to seek proper mental health treatments, as nobody here is qualified to do so (I know even if professionals are here, they wouldn't handle it here for sure).
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose me^ So with that in mind, a holler would be fine? Like with what WarJay said, their behavior in general is quite erratic to say the least and has caused concern every now and then. Their latest post made me decide to do something about it. (I'll make sure to mention their other posts in the holler as well).
Victor of HGS S320 | "There's rosemary, that's for remembrance. Pray you, love, remember."If you are concerned about someone's posts, feel free to holler them even if they aren't rule breaking. Hollering would at least bring the issue to our attention.
Macron's notesI see, TY all of you! I'll do the holler after I have dinner.

So basically, there's a user who seems to have an unhealthy obsession with a scene in a work (they mention it every now and then) and the negative effects it had on them and other people. Like it sounds genuinely concerning and I want to holler to a mod out of concern for them.
However, since they're technically not breaking any wiki rules to my knowledge nor said they were suicidal and/or wanted to hurt themselves, I'm not sure if a holler would be allowed in that situation.
(I won't be naming names unless I'm told to report them here; I just simply want an answer for my question in this query)
