Yeah, this is textbook adding your own political agenda under the pretense of "troping". It's not a valid example, and the fact that they continue to add it demonstrates that they really want to make this opinion broadcast.

The re-added entry still doesn't have a citation either, so the entry is still violating wiki rules.

Yeah, we're definitely going to need a mod to step in here.

I've re-removed the example, explained to him it requires a citation, and also left a link to this query in the edit reason.

This seems like it'd better fit something like Designated Hero or Unintentionally Unsympathetic, getting rid of the fairly irrelevant and politically-charged "black on black crime" point. The formatting of the entry's not great either (no colon, and the sentence is kind of a run-on).

Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.

"I have STRONG and RIGHTEOUS opinions about crime even though I don't know what assault means!"

Yeah, sounds like an Internet crusader. :P

(Assault, legally speaking, only means that you intentionally made a person afraid you would harm them. The instant you actually lay hands on in any way, that's battery. Intentionally dismembering somebody would be aggravated battery, if not attempted (or actual) murder.)

^ Those definitions depend on the jurisdiction, of course.

ALRIGHT I'LL DROP IT! no need to get nasty about it.

No need to break the rules by edit warring, and posting Unfortunate Implications without the required citation, either.

You were the one edit warring, Gregorian, not us. The edit reasons explained why UI was deleted, and yet you readded it, anyway.

And coming in here yelling in all caps doesn't help either.

Neither was accusing me of being an 'internet warrior' or mocking me by saying "I have STRONG and RIGHTEOUS opinions about crime even though I don't know what assault means!" that just being mean and slanderous

But i will yelling at you guys in caps was rude. That is my bad.

^ To be considered "slanderous", a claim has to actually be false.

Posting a politically charged trope entry that a) isn't actually a valid example, b) doesn't meet the citation requirement is one thing, but repeatedly readding it after removal suggests that you're more concerned about using this site as a platform for making your political hot take public than actually following the rules of the community. That's known as Righting Great Wrongs, or more informally, "being an Internet crusader".

If you don't want people to think you're an Internet crusader, don't act like one.

Gregorian chill, the matter is resolved. Don't take it personal and think it a learning experience. Also, be very careful NOT to edit war. That's frowned on.
