This is a thread for people who will not be or have not been on the site for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.
Generally, expect the following from this thread:
- People announcing their departure or return.
- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
- Inquiries about an absent troper.
- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

Were you part of it? You posted a rerail while I was posting.
Fresh-eyed movie blogHas Rottweiler left? I've not seen him posting in a while.
Yeah he has
Dutch Lesbian^^^
Kind of-sort of? I did say that I was going to stay, but I explained exactly where I'd be. And, of course, when.
And yes, I do have a job that I started, oh...three weeks ago, hence why I wasn't able to appear as often.
...huh. I didn't think I'd be able to rerail something. But what I said as far as scheduling goes stays.
And if all goes well, then I'll be gone for a bit longer. Like...I'll appear at around 6:30 P.M. my time (4:30 P.M. forum time) on weekdays, chillaxin' on the weekends.

If you hang out in OTC, you'd know better than I would. I miss when he was in Fetishes, but he mostly didn't follow it when it moved to Yack Fest.
Maybe he's less inclined to stay on the site now that he and Leigh Sabio are in the same town.
Fresh-eyed movie blogNah, he left because of what happened with [RETRACTED]
Dutch LesbianYou've gone and made me curious now.
You mean kashchei?
"Dr. Strangeloid, or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Cleanlink" - thespacephantomNope, it happened because my forced forum holiday.
Dutch LesbianHe left expressing anger at Anne and kashchei's bans, and that the wiki is full of, as he put it, "skeevy stuff".
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text-Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffUh, hey. I'm back. I'm still taking a semi-break, I mean, I'm just not banned anymore. Just so you guys know.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Ah, great to see that you can access the fora again.
"Hipsters: the most dangerous gang in the US." - Pacific MackerelI don't really post a lot on the forums beyond the VG section anymore. Alongside staying in touch with friends via PM and editing articles, those are the few reasons I still linger here.
Seeing this many people quit is a bit depressing, but it's sort of like quitting any other website. If it's eating up your time and you think it's going downhill, I don't see why you wouldn't quit.

Good to see you here, Kris.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Kris: When are you not on semi-break?
Nice to see you're back Kris.
Talk to you later Inane. Have fun in real life.
Oh, he'll still be on the net. Just not here as much.
I think my tvtropes usage is going to be going down as well. Not quite leaving, but not posting as much.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderI've decided to stay. Leaving won't do a damn bit of good, and after having been here for over a year I've become part of the community, for good or ill. I've even been ripped apart on SA by name.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Whoo! And the forum was a better place.
...sorry.
