I don’t think so. Gonna share a trailer to a new Christmas horror movie:
Wes Anderson's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when?

Anyone notice there seems to be a revival of the traditional "whodunnit" mystery film going on? Knives Out, Branagh!Poirot, Enola Holmes, standalones like See How They Run...
I wonder if this might have something to do with the grim-n-gritty police procedural being discredited by, uhh, certain real-life events, making people nostalgic for detectives who get justice with wits and empathy rather than BASHING PEOPLE'S SKULLS TO MAKE THEM TALK!? (thank you, B.D. Wong)

The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Absolutely, and Poker Face, Afterparty, Only Murders in the Building and ilk on tv. (please finally drag the Clue reboot out of dev hell)

Just finished watching Nobody on Netflix.
Bloody good film.
Pun, very much intended.
Did this film have its own thread? I feel like it did.
One Strip! One Strip!Maybe if it gets a sequel, but I doubt it. The story was wrapped up really well.
I wish it focused more on the family parts, but it was still fun and glorious as hell.

For a guy nicknamed Blondie, he is not the tiniest bit blond!Blood & Gold (also on Netflix) is also very nice. It's a German film set during ww2 that seems to be a hommage to Spaghetti Western.
Huh, apparently The Night the Clown Cried, the infamous Jerry Lewis Holocaust movie that's been intentionally buried for fifty years because... Jerry Lewis Holocaust movie, Might be getting screened by the Library of Congress this June, though permission from Lewis' heirs will be required to screen it anywhere else.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."Did someone watch Fremont[1]? I am considering watching it next week. Opinions are welcome.

It wasn't bad, but I don't know whether I would recommend it. It was slow paced and stern but I thought it was interesting. I don't hink I will start a work page because this is time consuming and there are enough American tropers to start work pages for American films.
On the other hand I just created a tiny work page for TheSettlers, the film that Chile is submitting for Best International Feature Film. I will do some crosswicking later. It is apparently a co-production with Argentina, several European countries, and Taiwan (says The Other Wiki).

Just for giggles today I was browsing people's list of movies with the worst/most toxic morals and messages, and it struck me how remarkably similar most of them were. Apparently, which movies teach seriously effed-up messages is one thing most of the internet actually agrees on! Virtually all the lists I saw included the majority of the following:
- GREASE. By far the most consistent entry on these already quite homogenous lists. By extension, other films with a "Change everything about yourself to find true happiness" messages, including Disney's Little Mermaid.
- Forrest Gump, probably the second-most-often named after Grease. I haven't seen it since I was a kid, but evidently a lot of people feel it romanticizes blind obedience to authority.
- Something called Limitless which I haven't seen but which apparently glorifies drug abuse.
- Twilight and 50 Shades, naturally.
- John Hughes' filmography, particularly Ferris Bueller.
- '80s-through-'00s big-budget rom-coms in general.
- And, to my surprise, The Lion King, which is accused of being pro-racism and pro-autocracy with a regularity that shocked me.
Thoughts?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."This looks like it's going to be awesome. I guess according to the information, Jordan Peele bought the distribution rights for this action flick to get it into theatres instead of it going straight to Netflix.

Dost Thou Desire the Power ... Glove? It's so bad. That's what I also read. Jordan Peele really is a real one, because holy sacred cow, that trailer kicked so much ass!
Dev Patel really stepped up, didn't he? The man got introduced in Slumdog Millionaire, had a stumble after getting involved in M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, but just picked himself the heck up with the Exotic Marigold Hotel movies, Chappie, of course The Green Knight, and now this load of brutal kickass-ness…which he also directed to boot!
(That always intrigued me, FYI. How does an actor both star and direct a movie?)
Somehow I found out about Hundreds of Beavers. I’m hearing it described as a live action Looney Tunes-esque comedy, but black and white, and with no dialogue.
I think this may be the rare film that fits both my not very big on movies and my cinemaphile brother’s tastes.
SoundCloudIf they ever make a sequel to Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022), it should involve the use of AI as the main conflict.
If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.Agreed.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.A live-action R-rated ‘TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: THE LAST RONIN’ movie is in the works.
Inb 4 the "I would've preferred if this was animated" comments.
The thimble ends up getting its own song about what it's identity truly is.
Paramount confirms they're making a Transformers x G.I. Joe movie.
I'm glad the crossover movie is happening since Rise of the Beast ended with the reveal that G.I. Joe exist in the new Transformers live action reboot universe and they want to work with the Autobots after the latter saved the world.
So I KINDA wanna start binging on the entire "Harry Potter" film series back to back each day (one movie a day), you know, follow the story a lot better since I stopped watching after the fourth movie because I'd lost interest decades ago...if I watch them on whatever streaming service they're on, is that still going to give Rowling money? Because she's the reason I'm hesitant to watch, I don't want her getting anything from me.

If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.will the snake eyes movie be part of the shared universe?
Mom and I are gonna go see The Fall Guy (2024) on the following Tuesday after it comes out.

Not yet, but I plan to watch them. In fact I liked asteroid City.
Is there a recommended watching order?
