There is no canon, after all.
But it's worth noting that in that particular SCP entry, magic wasn't a bad thing for humanity at all. Humans were fully capable of playing with the big fish, being Reality Warper level mages themselves.
That's one of the reasons that entry has the O5 Council so concerned. They're wondering if they aren't actually protecting humanity at all but merely holding it back.
They ultimately decide to stick with the mission, rationalizing that humanity isn't ready for that kind of power coming back.

Disgusted, but not surprised- The official origin story from the Foundation's perspective is that they were founded by a rogue Foundation cell. (The details could be different, but the official line always remains the same even if it's wholly a lie.)
- Nobody knows for certain what their end goals are.
- It has a decentralized structure of leadership, which is one reason why the Foundation with all its formidable resources (and presumably the GOC) haven't managed to crush them yet.
- They are dangerously liberal with using the anomalous to further their (seemingly nebulous) goals and expansion. (The Foundation is much more restrained with its utilization and especially weaponization of the anomalous, on the reasonable grounds that the anomalous by definition is incompletely understood and usage of it thus could backfire.)
- They actively work to take control of "normal" human society. (The Foundation typically minimizes interference with the outside world unless absolutely necessiated by its mission.)
- Unlike the Serpent's Hand and the GOC, they never cooperate with the Foundation; the two are permanently at war with each other. Even the GOC is at worst in a state of "cold war" with the Foundation, and is willing to temporarily join forces when needed, or even permanently merge into a new organization stronger than the sum of its parts in a rare few alternate world lines where a dire enough threat forces them to do this.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So I was browsing the SCP Foundation TV Tropes page while the real thing is down. I noticed pataphysics was listed as a Dead Horse Trope. I think it was written before the SCP wiki came up with a VERY thorough system to vet SCP articles, and thus it assumed that Pataphysics as a concept would stop expanding due to overuse.
Nowadays they are still making more Pataphysics SC Ps, they're just properly quality controlled and thus aren't overused. The concept shows no signs of going away. Furthermore when I did a quick google search for "pataphysics" I found the only non site discussions of the concept are just "explaining what this thing is" as opposed to making any judgement on it's existence. Thus do I remove it?
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.I would say so
The First manI kind of imagine stuff like this happens in the SCP-verse
The First man
There was one tale based on the idea that there was literally one person on the planet not involved in the paranormal. But generally the more serious stories pretend that these things are rare
- https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/everyone-knows
I'm quite sure we even link there. At least Everybody Knew Already.

New theme music also a boxI have a soft spot for all these old SCP that don't threaten to destroy the world as we know it or cause various [DATA EXPUNGED] to people who handle them and are just plain weird.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.I know SCP-001 isn't meant to be "the first SCP" but I feel the first SCPs the Foundation would've discovered would be the weird but harmless ones like Josie the Half-Cat. Part of why I like "The Prototype" as an 001 proposal is that it fits the idea that the first anomalies they'd deal with are somewhat comprehensible and not some esoteric craziness like SCP-3125
There are Foundation precursors, so the First is hard to pin down?

"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"@ Malady: Thanks to SCP-2000 it kind of puts in perspective a lot of SCPs could be a lot older than we thought since 2000 is meant to reboot humanity and society, not clone back the anomalies.
Earlier than that, 140(Chronicles of Daeva) put the theory they pretty much reboot time A LOT.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Has there ever been an experiment where a D-boi looks at a picture of 096 and shoots himself before 096 gets to them? I'm guessing it would calm down but I want to know if this has ever happened
- It might not help, since it doesn't just kill them, it then "[DATA EXPUNGED] SCP-096-1. 100% of cases have left no traces of SCP-096-1".

My impression is that as it's material originating from the website, it's compiling the Tales from that Hub, it should be under a different namespace, and is a better fit for Recap.SCP Foundation Canons or similar. Thoughts?
"qntm" is the guy of Website.Things Of Interest, so it should be linked back and stuff...
But do we know what "lightly edited" means? Is it just typo fixes and stuff? If so, then no content has changed, so yeah Recap, I'd say.
Also listed on https://qntm.org/scp, which does make me think more Recap, if it's linked together that closely.

I mean is true, what is normal change all the time, one of the best "Psuedo canon"(thing thar arent strictly canon but get reference so often it kinda become) is that the foundation isnt eternal but was create by merging of 13 organization before it.
Granted as protagonist said is a issue of tone: the foundation start mostly as "Men in black against creepy pastas" meaning the magic come back isnt harry potter, is slender man or cthulhu.
