I really hope that in case the Nocturne Remaster flops (and if it does it will be 100% Atlus' fault) Atlus doesn't begin thinking "Oh maybe people just don't like SMT anymore."
Too late for that. First week physical sales in Japan already exceeded Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey and Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse (this despite digital sales continuing to become a larger and larger piece of the pie year after year). Atlus is more than happy with how the HD remaster performed.
Do you think they will fix any of the issues with the remaster before it comes to the west? I remember seeing people saying it was pretty disappointing around the time it first came out in Japan.

They've since patched in performance fixes and the ability to freely pick which skills to inherit IIRC.
The Inheritance is gonna break the game wide open. Since a lot of the powerful skills in earlier demons are practically there as RNG teases. Getting stuff like Anti-Phys as a skill you can freely carry over in sacrificial fusion is a game changer.
Also the newest dub trailer sounds like Cherami Leigh as Chiaki.
I didn't recognize her voice but I only heard like one sentence from Chiaki, maybe TWO. So I might have missed it.
If it is her though, time to go Yosuga again. She will actually get to show off her acting chops..

i've played three houses, i heard her performance as rhea, i guarantee it'll be bascly the same
Song of the SirensIf there's any reason to be excited for voice acting, it's seeing how batshit crazy the Reason holders will get.
Insane Rhea is still more mentally stable than Chiaki. Chiaki will likely present herself as “logical” like Edelgard is all things considered. Till she’s defeated hopefully.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.ohhhh Pyro Jack is now officially "Jack o' Lantern" according to the official Nocturne HD website's screenshot, they definitely got rid of the character name limits
Chiaki with the same actress as Rhea ehh?
Chiaki was one of the worst Chaos reps ever, (or Law because the alignments are weird here.) so I'm looking forward to our fight in the remake. But I don't think Chiaki will have a breakdown like Rhea, Chiaki's issues are more different than Rhea I feel.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Chiaki's motivations might not make any sense but her boss fight is cool as hell so who can really say whether she's good or bad?
I'd think judging a person's morality or a charatcer's quality on how cool it'd be to fight them seems...Skewed
ok I honestly think something is wrong with my ps2... I tried starting nocturne while Persona 5 was downloading veeeeeerrrrryyy slowly because I have bad internet. O course I got a disk read error... this has been hapening more and more frequently as of late so i think the problem lies with the console not the disks
Try the tape trick.
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…@Chariot: it's common down here for companies on steam to not convert prices directly between currencies and price their stuff reasonably, because 40-60 dollars is worth far more to us than it is to people in the US and is not at all a reasonable price to ask for a game, especially now that our currency is so weak. With the price of the nocturne remaster i can buy groceries to last me a month.

So SMTIII is going to be $50 here in the US... I just... cannot get behind that price. I bought the game off PSN for $10, and I know this is an HD remaster but surely there isn't enough added to the game to justify the price of an all-new release.
Also dashes my hopes for a Raidou 2-pack considering they want full price for a PS 2 game.
Factoring in the DLC, the game costs more now than it did upon its initial release.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.I'll let you know the reason for such a high price:
Maybe it's because I'm a sucker who paid $60 for the Mario collection (all games that, like Nocturne, I've never played before, mind), but in a world where "gamers are ready for $70 MSRP" is a thing I consider anything under sixty a win.
It's an Atlus game though, so it'll be bound to go on sale very, very frequently.
Honestly we were lucky inflation didnt grossly ramp up prices for over a decade.
Now those are justified reasons to wait and get it cheap.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. The documented performance issues and poor sound mixing (especially with the compressed music) is what definitely makes me think a full price purchase isn't worth it.
Those haven’t been fixed yet?
i. hear. a. sound. They released a patch that fixed things last I checked.
But honestly Apocalypse never got it’s patch that fixed the game crashing in DLC when it came out in english so I’m not holding out hope.

The Shin Megami Tensei concert that even Atlus West has been hyping is tomorrow so if we're ever going to get more info on V in the very near future it'll be there.
