That's more of a condemnation of the elves than anything positive about the orcs. Frankly, they're both assholes.

I, naturally, was rooting for the dragon.

I'm always a Dwarf lover.

Funny, considering how tall I am.

So apparently Battle of the Five Armies's Extended Edition is out now. Anyone get a hold of it?

If they wanted me to take him even remotely seriously when he shows up riding a pig, they should have made this movie before A Song Of Ice And Fire was written.

Boar.

Besides, you can't expect a dwarf to ride a horse. Even when the first movie began the Company didn't ride horses, they rode ponies. Ponies are not something that might be good in a fight.

Eh, after gigantic elephants, ponies and mountain goats, a boar doesn't really bother me.

It also enhances Dáin. The fun of the character is how he just arrives out of the nowhere and storms in, being absurd and over-the-top like nobody's business. Riding a boar only adds to that.

So apparently Alfrid dies in the EE.

All I can say is: God fucking bless.

Ryan Gage's character. The dude that almost got hanged until Bard for some reason known only to the Valar decided to call off the angry mob.

Wait, who was the Laketown character that was played by Stephen Colbert?

He was just a background guy. If you're talking about the guy played by Stephen Fry, that was the fat asshole that got squashed by Smaug's corpse in the beginning.

You know, I'm still peeved at how this wasn't the end of the final battle.

I mean, seriously Thorin, what were you even trying to achieve? Make sure Azog's dead? It's a freaking lake, it's not like he's going to get away or anything. Besides, when he leapt out of the ice, you could have just rolled sideways and he would have just crushed the ice, sinking back to the icy water again.

I know there's barely any point in complaing about that now, but still...

I always figured Alfred simply took the dragon's gold into the hills and got driven mad by it.

Eh, dragon's sickness is easily cured by having a hallucination and then just promptly snapping out of it, so I don't see that burdening him overmuch.

Thorin managed to snap out of the "Dragon Sickness" (which I still think it's just Dwarven speak for "Being driven mad by gree") because he's Thorin Oakenshield, King Under the Mountain, Son of Thrain, Son of Thror, The Leader of Durin's Folk and Durin's Folk DO NOT FLEE FROM A FIGHT! Alfrid, though, is just Alfrid, the snively coward who cares only for his own survival and has the moral strength of a squirrel.
