When would you guys say Mega Man hit his peak in success/popularity? 2004?

Will we ever get rereleases of the Legends games?
"May your heart be your guiding key"If we do, the first game needs to rework those tank controls. Maybe they didn't have dualsticks yet, but they make it so much harder to play than it needs to be.

I'm hesitant to think they'll re-release any Legends game, what with the brand being forever tainted by the Legends 3 debacle.
I know that I'd be concerned if I was an executive, anyway.
Wait, aren't the Legends games on the PSN?
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. There's someone in the crowd at today's AEW Dynamite with the sign still waiting on Mega Man Legends 3.

One Strip! One Strip! All right, so I defeated the Count from Boktai. Apparently his other two chips are gotten from Boktai traders. How do they work? I've seen the Otenko statue in Seaside Area, but other than that what do I do?
Er, looks like I misread the information. He can rematch like any other boss, but his EX form won't appear despite approaching the area.

I think you have to jack out and reenter to get his ghost to spawn.
He's in the upper right part of the map near his first fight iirc.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? That's the issue (I mean jacking out should be obvious to any Battle Network veteran). I checked the actual map and walked around the area, but he didn't show.
This is interesting—some original Mega Man 1 gameplay, level and enemy concepts! https://www.rockman-corner.com/2023/07/english-translated-mega-man-1-design.html
The Protomen enhanced my life.So I just bought Misadventures of Tron Bonnie from the PS 3 store
So far it’s fun. Never played any of the Legends games before this.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Fired Battle Network 2 up recently and now I want to shrivel up and die when the first Style Change I got was Elec-element. In the Wood virus-infested Mother Computer to boot.
Know that feeling.
The first style change is always received in the Mother Computer. It wasn't bad timing or anything.
Thought: is Cyber Peacock a reploid?
Because he seems to be an AI, stuck entirely on the internet, and not having a body at all
Now the boss rush rematch is a different story but in the first fight I don’t think he’s a reploid
No more than Gutsman.EXE would be a robot
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOh I know that; just pointing out the bad timing, like getting a Heat Style in 3 right before Bubbleman.
Sigma is still considered a Reploid, even if he (and Cyber Peacock) would probably be the Reploid equivalent of transhumanism. I think Cyber Peacock used to be a full-body Reploid but he became a full A.I at some point
It could be that there is a reploid brain somewhere that's basically his "server." If we're defining reploidhood by being based on X's design/being able to make moral decisions the way a human would, even an AI that was made according to the same principles would be a reploid, right? Like, that AI would have the defining feature of a reploid.
It took me all these years to realize that the Gospel Admin is actually communicating with his underlings over a chatroom and not in person like Wily would during those post-chapter interludes.
So... Am I crazy, or is the idea that in X8 Lumine confirmed that Sigma was Deader than Dead / Killed Off for Real is complete and utter nonsense? Where did people get this idea? I'm literally watching the cutscenes right now and Lumine says nothing to the effect of any such thing, only that he was "defeated", but that's just Tuesday for the Hunters. He doesn't even imply anything to the effect.
It's Zero who says Lumine implied as such in his ending scene, but I cannot figure out why he would think that, because Lumine said nothing of the sort, it feels like Zero's jumping to wild conclusions out of absolutely nowhere.
Seriously, am I missing something? Because I can't find any in-game dialogue aside from Zero's ending that even hints at Sigma being dead for good.

Heck, the Zero series confirms that Sigma dies because he was deleted by the Mother Elf.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.IIRC Zero art/source books supposedly say that while the virus manages to persist for a bit longer until the Mother Elf is created to destroy it for good, X8 is the last time Sigma himself manifests.
Granted, Sigma himself is also the virus.
Like IIRC, Zero 3 specifically says that the Mother Elf deleted the Sigma virus.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. His X 8 design is very “last legs” so I can see how it was the intention that this was the last time he would fight the heroes personally
The virus might go on but Sigma as a guy finally got too threadbare

@Perseus It says a lot that Kung Foo Kid, one of the SF2's optional bosses has more faith in Geo's abilities in that game than his own friends did.
MegaMan Star Force 2 had some interesting ideas that I feel were wasted, such as Hyde's role as The Heavy, Solo being an Evil Counterpart to Geo and the entirety of the Alternate Future though to give credit where it's due, it did try to improve the game's titular forms (i.e the Tribe On) by differentiating them compared to SF1's mostly being samey and established the Link Power system, which was thankfully improved in SF3.
