Blizzard is.....hard, really hard and the random blizzard dosent help shit, inifnity minion is not bad but very annoying to move the blater of the gigant mecha over and over again, yammerak is...easy, a little bit unfair for said spikes but is easier(she is pretty much the first boss everyone encounter), Sheldon is fun if shot, ground is random but very challanging and blazing is not much a level but three encounter with dount monster.
X5 level are good, even if their bosses suck ass all the way.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"A good point about X5, but Blaze Heatnix's stage is fighting the Nightmare Snakes not three times, but five times (there's actually six of these things, but you only face five on any given run if you don't go into the Nightmare Area). Speaking of those, I forget what sort of gimmick that Yammark's Nightmare area has, but Metal Shark Player's Nightmare area is the trash compactor with auto-scrolling thrown in, Rainy Turtloid's Nightmare area is I think more of the acid rain, Infinity Mijinion's Nightmare area is a whole bunch of ropes, and those are just the ones that I remember. Gate's Lab is an outright nightmare (no pun intended) to go through as you need armor and/or parts just to complete it and depending on which character you get, the Nightmare section of the lab can be a pain too (X gets more acid rain while Zero has to contend with the trash compactor).

Nightmare Mother is harder than Black Devil by way of being badly designed
It occupies too much screen real estate and moves too fast to reliably dodge without a specific parts loadout that you might not have because rescue reploids can be killed off forever by the Nightmare. And can be killed off forever by the Nightmare offscreen before you can get to them
Nightmare Mother is also badly designed from a visual standpoint. It’s just two giant squares that don’t really look enough like the Nightmare
High Max has a problem that a lot of X 5 bosses had of too much health and then compounds it by having very small vulnerability periods during the fight. It’s less challenge and more tedium.
I’ll of course grant that X 7 is the worst game by any metric you care to mention
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThank God my introduction to Axl was in X8, I don't think Model A not being based on him would've bothered much if that wasn't.

It’s kind of funny how aggressively disinterested the Zero and ZX series is from anything from the X series that isn’t Zero or X
Fair dues and all, it’s set in the future times and trying to tell it’s own story. Still I would have liked to know what part in Neo Arcadia Alia played. And maybe some other people but mostly Alia
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI still want to know where Dynamo, Commander Signas and the other two navigators ended up.
My headcanon is that X6 splits off into two timelines:
X6->Zero's ending->Zero/ZX series
X6->X7/8->Command Mission
This is the first time I've seen anyone in this thread talk positively of X6.

wolfgang's stage is actually my least favorite do to the stupid insta kill blocks.
Thankfully like X5 X6 is generous with its checkpoints which makes the game less frustrating then it would be otherwise.

For some reason, getting crushed by the ice blocks in Wolfang's stage merely does a lot of damage to you. The last part of the stage where the ice auto-forms after the blocks fall in place does have instant death if ice forms on either X or Zero, but the blocks crushing you won't do enough damage to kill unless you're at low health.
Since it got lost in an unrelated conversation last time, I'll share the news again here;

I'm most curious about the fourth bit. Does that mean they plan to include more characters from the X series, or even outside of X?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.What's Rockman X Di VE?
Maybe it's because I've been listening the remastered OS Ts a lot, but look what Youtube feed undig!
I love the little hesitation Zero shows halfway through the fight, it's such a neat little detail.
You know, I've said before that both Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Star Force (but especially the former) were ahead of their time.
I'm more convinced of that now than ever. I feel like both series need to make a comeback.
One Strip! One Strip!It’d be great if Capcom made a virtual pet style... well, PET as a mobile app.

SoundCloudThat vid is still awesome even today haha.
Sorry it took me so long to reply back. It's an upcoming game by Capcom Taiwan for Mobile Phones. This page might give some better info about it.
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.BTW, there's something something that's been bugging me: does anyone knows why Maverick Hunter X sold so badly?
The game is a pretty faithful update of the original, with a pretty good story that doesn't feel shorthanded by the format for once, so what gives?
I mean, I know the franchise was being milked to near-death at tge time, but still.
I think you probably answered your own question there.
Same with ZX and ZX Advent. They unfortunately came out at a time when Capcom made so many Mega Man games that many people who weren't diehard fans of the franchise got exhausted by it and just didn't bother with it anymore.
And they also weren't helping their case with generally disliked games like X6, X7 and Battle Network 4.

Also it was on PSP, which was known for pirating and only really did well in Japan.

The Protomen enhanced my life.Also the 2.5D was a turn off.
YMMV, I really enjoyed the presentation in Powered Up.
It has my favorite design of Yellow Devil.

@ unknowing: Speaking of level design for X6, according to Kevvl, the only stages that have good design are Blizzard Wolfang and (you'll likely disagree with this one) Metal Shark Player. Commander Yammark's stage has blind jumps over spikes that you wouldn't know where to be on a first play-through, Rainy Turtloid's stage has the acid rain, which does admittedly get mitigated by the presence of healing pads, Infinity Mijinion's stage has a good concept that was executed poorly, Ground Scaravich's stage is randomly-generated, Shield Sheldon's stage is very short, Blaze Heatnix's stage is overly long, and that's just covering the levels where you fight the eight mavericks.
