I mean, it can't be any more broken than Necrotic Ooze.

Now if you wanted to really make something wonky:

Forced Melding - 3UG
Sorcery
As an additional cost to cast ~, sacrifice two creatures.
Create an X/Y creature token with all the types, colors, and abilities of the sacrificed creatures. X is the total power of the sacrificed creatures and Y is their total toughness.

There's a pretty big difference between "all abilities" and "all activated abilities", though.

  • Deed of Awakening 2WRG
  • Enchantment
  • If you control no lands, you may cast this spell without paying its mana cost.
  • You may play Lands from your graveyard, and an additional Land from your graveyard during each turn.
  • During your upkeep, if you control 6 or more Lands, draw a card.
  • The vessel of Yctrax stirred, and let Destruction fade into Creation.

  • Drake Zephyros, Awakened 3WURG
  • Planeswalker - Drake
  • Other noncreature nonland permanents you own have Indestructible.
  • +1: Draw 1 card, then you may put 1 land from your hand or graveyard on to the battlefield.
  • -1: Create a 4 / 4 Green White and Red Legendary Giant Avatar creature token named Worldsoul. It has Reach, Trample and Hexproof.
  • -9: Each player shuffles all permanents except this one into their library, then draws 7 cards.
  • 5

  • Legacy of the Earth 5WG
  • Sorcery
  • Return all permanent cards from all graveyards on to the battlefield under their owners' control, and then each player gains 5 life. You win the game if you returned 20 or more differently named permanents from your graveyard to the battlefield this way.
  • A regenerated world, a legacy to curate.

Rage Trap - 4R
Instant - Trap
This spell can't be countered.
If a spell you cast this turn was countered by a spell or ability an opponent controlled, you may pay {R} rather than pay this spell's mana cost.
~ deals 4 damage to target opponent. If that player cast a blue Instant spell this turn, ~ deals 8 damage to that opponent instead.

Destroy target creature. Its controller loses 1 life and you gain 1 life.

  • Mask of Dreams 2
  • Legendary Artifact
  • X: You can pay X rather than pay the casting cost of a creature in your hand and cast that creature face down so your opponent doesn't know what it is. This creature can activate any of its abilities even while your opponent doesn't know what it is. When you cast a creature with this effect, if you have other facedown creatures, you can shuffle those creatures and then put them back facedown so your opponent really doesn't know what any of them are. If a creature put facedown by this effect attacks or uses an activated ability, immediately turn it face up and pay its CMC if X is different from the total CMC. Creatures placed facedown by this effect have power and toughness 2 / 2 so your opponent doesn't know what the stats are.

Cycle of Vengeance - BB
Enchantment
{0}: Destroy target creature that dealt damage to you. That creature's controller gains control of ~. Activate this ability only once each turn.

Mysterious Appearance - 3UG
Sorcery
Search your library for a creature card and put it onto the battlefield face-down. Then shuffle your library. (It's a 2/2 creature. Turn it up at any time by paying its mana cost.)

[up] I like Mysterious Appearance but I kind of want to tweak it a bit.

Mysterious Appearance (3UG)
Sorcery
Search your library for a card, manifest that card, then shuffle your library. (Put it onto the battlefield face down as a 2/2 creature. Turn it face up any time for its mana cost if it's a creature card.)

(Like, while you would almost never use it for a noncreature card, most stuff that requires a specific card type wants you to reveal it to avoid cheating - but that would sort of ruin the point of the card.)

Im trying to figure out a way to make an Equipment that turns creatures into Planeswalkers.

I was thinking that it could place counters on the equipped creature over time and when enough are on it the Equipment transforms and attaches itself onto the creature, then uses those counters as loyalty counters.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Seems workable, if really complex.

Card tax:

Spellcrafter's Expertise (1UR)
Instant
Return target spell you control to your hand. You may cast a different spell from your hand with converted mana cost equal to or less than that spell's without paying the mana cost.
Changing your mind really means something to spellcrafters.

Turning a creature into a planeswalker doesn't seem like it'd work since you'd need to define what abilities the new planeswalker has, which would take way too much text space.

Card tax:

Thought Generator - 3
Artifact
{X}: Draw a card. X is 1 plus the number of cards in your hand.

Like the Equipment would transform and you could take counters off of the equipped creature to activate its abilities.

Thought: have the artifact destroy or exile the creature as it transforms into the planeswalker and just take the counters directly.

Does the Equipment transform into a planeswalker, or does it remain an Equipment? In the latter case, rather than making the creature a planeswalker, it might make more sense to just have the creature remain a creature. The Equipment would probably look something like Umezawa's Jitte, albeit with removing different number of counters for different abilities.

Card tax:

Oogway - 1WG
Legendary Creature - Turtle Monk
Creatures you control have "{W/G}, {T}: Put a +1/+1 counter on this creature."
Tapped creatures you control have hexproof.
1/4
"You must believe."

The Equipment would turn into a Planeswalker. Something like this.

Spark Harvester-(5)

Legendary Artifact-Equipment

During each upkeep, but a -1/-1 counter on equipped creature.

When equipped creature dies, exile Spark Harvester and return it to the battlefield transformed under your control.

Equip 3

Some things are worth risking everything.

Artificial Spark

Legendary Planeswalker-Spark

  • 1: Target permanent gains indestructible until end of turn. Prevent all damage that would be dealt to it until the beginning of the next upkeep.

  • -4: Return target permanent from your graveyard to the battlefield. It gains haste. Sacrifice it at the beginning of the next end step.

  • -8: You get an emblem with "All permanents you control have indestructible as long as it's not your turn."

Loyalty 5

  • Wallkith, the Bright-sower 3WBG
  • Legendary Creature - Nightmare Beast
  • Companion - your starting deck contains 20 or more Enchantments.
  • Vigilance
  • While this card is in your Companion Zone, during your upkeep you gain 2 life.
  • Whenever you cast an Enchantment spell, you draw 1 card and put a +1 / +1 counter on this card. If you control 5 or more Enchantments, you can then put 1 Enchantment from your graveyard into play.
  • 5 / 5
