I don't think Kokonoe would abandon Litchi like that. Rachel, maybe, but Kokonoe seems to care about her a decent amount (though she doesn't care about her as much as she hates Terumi, if Litchi's CP ending is any indication), given that in Litchi's Bad Ending in CS, Kokonoe devotes herself to finding a cure for Boundary Poisoning to try to save Litchi before her mind deteriorates into nothing from overexposure to seithr.

CONTEXT: Why Kokonoe would probably give a cure to Litchi if she had one.

Could have sworn someone translated Li's CP story and it said Kokonoe declared her an enemy to be killed.

[up][up]

Because their friends.

Well, if Litchi's CP ending is anything to go on, not anymore, but that's mainly Kokonoe's all encompassing hatred of Terumi blinding her.

She should have tried to help her friend if she actually knew the latter was sick, and Rachel has no right to judge her(even if she's right that Litchi helping Terumi has caused more harm then good) since she's never been so desperate.

or at least that's my two cents on the subject.

[up]That's what I heard as well. Not surprising. When hate someone enough to be willing to use Nukes on them, and then find out one of your closest friends betrayed you(though that is your fault a little as well), something like that is inevitable.

[up][up]I figured her ending was Rachel verbally slapping her for indirectly letting Relius get his hands on Rettenjou.

Might be both.

Though if you ask me, Rachel needs a bit of slapping herself, for some of the stunts she's pulled.

Am I weird thinking that Koko's on the path to going full on heel out of pure madness? I mean it almost seems that way.

Kokonoe's half of Litchi's ending is basically her declaring Litchi an enemy for assisting Terumi, while Rachel is the one who points out that Litchi gave Relius the Rettenjou.

I wouldn't be surprised if Kokonoe, if not going outright heel, at least acts as a secondary antagonist for certain characters due to her obsessive hatred of Terumi.

Rachel could most definitely use at least a talking down to, since while she's been generally and consistently helpful through the series, she could really do with some damage to that arrogance.

No one's gonna let Rachel forget bullying Noel for whatever reason, eah.

I'd like to see Koko's reaction when she really does throw a nuke at Terumi and it does nothing to him. Just kills a whole load of innocents.

I could see Terumi having the cure and even sharing it with Litchi before he finishes his grand scheme... And having everything blow up in his face as a result.

@Handsome Rob: Litchi's type of character is one who keeps most of her problems herself so others doesn't have to suffer for her. I think that right now, this was the only choice she had: No one else other than Kokonoe or Hazama knows how to cure the Boundary, and even then Kokonoe would assume that she's as much as a moron as Lotte was, as in if Kokonoe cures her, she'll get right back to afflicting herself to save Arakune, so Kokonoe probably would have the cure, but unless it's just utterly too late or Litchi declares that she doesn't want to save Arakune anymore, she wouldn't budge. Ask the Orient Town residents for help by declaring her condition? Knowing their gigantic devotion to her, it's only a matter of time until some guy did the same, inflicting himself with the Boundary to save his beloved doctor, only because they're not knowledgable enough, they end up getting worse and more Arakunes are born. Out of more people Litchi loved. Right now, she has the choice of try taking the risk of damaging her reputation and friendship by joining NOL, but still keep a sane mind and have a chance to fix things up, if she makes it through this... or just give up, and then degenerate then become the next Arakune.

But what makes me irritated is that probably Kokonoe is going to get cheered further, with full on Draco in Leather Pants treatment. Why? Because Kokonoe has a potty mouth, a nasty attitude, hilarious HMPK section, important to the plot, is against Terumi. Whereas any attempts like 'judging' or 'berating' Litchi (like Rachel did), no matter how 'unright' it is, will be considered 'a just cause for the heroes' and protagonists will be encouraged to do it.

As of Rachel, well maybe it's just me, but I have a hunch that Rachel doing that has an ulterior motive, which ties in with Litchi's motivation and personality: She has a Guilt Complex over letting Lotte turn into Arakune because of her theory. Rachel probably notices that and decided to guilt-trip her into a bigger guilt about helping Terumi and dooming the world, so that guilt overrode the guilt of the creation of Arakune and Litchi would feel hard-pressed herself to stop the calamity. Well, it could be just me, but knowing Rachel... who knows if it turns out that way.

@MK: No you're not weird and I'm pretty much had my hunch that Kokonoe turns full on Heel next and then even Tager will have something to do than being Kokonoe's proxy of speaking. Dunno, get his relationship with Bullet (to the point of him recognizing her in his win quote) expanded further? Why do I get the feeling that the Ikarugan Kokonoe used as Tager's soul turns out to be one of Bullet's dead compatriots?

That could work too.

Bit disappointed Carl doesn't lose it on hearing that Litchi's working with Relius though.

[up] Now that would be something and would probably get everyone to stop writing Tager off as Koko's Yes-Man

I think Carl not losing it is pretty heartwarming to me, because he took the lessons at heart and reveal himself to be not the type to take things on face value. Unlike Kokonoe and the majority of Litchi haters.

Too bad he got no special win pose or intro with Litchi. But I believe that he could probably be the one to snap Litchi back from her sadness in her CP ending. Dunno, return the hug he got from CS, and always believe in her? Then maybe putting her to join Bang...

Or you know, there's that possibility of 'Amane deal' I mentioned before.

[up]Yeah, come to think of it, most of Tager's complains is that he's just pretty much used as a way for Kokonoe to speak with the others because she's too much of a Hikkikomori in her own lab. If Tager's even capable of getting appalled on Kokonoe's actions... well... things would turn out interesting.

True. Ah well, get what you pay for.

I just hope Amane doesn't turn out to be generically creepy.. If that Kayfabe theory I made turns out to be true I'll be so pleased man. People should really try something slightly different.

[up] He wasn't even appalled when he learned about the nukes she had or her work on Lambda? Is that's the case its little wonder people see him as just a Yes-Man who follows her every word and thinks the sun shines out of her arse.

Y'know, I just remembered.

If it's not helping Litchi, and Amane is NOT a creepy guy but more like an effeminate Johnny... then Carl probably would have a new home or something to do once his business with Relius is over, with Relius' corpse as the aftermath. Guess that means Carl would have things to look forward once his revenge is over so he doesn't have to dedicate himself fully to that.

EDIT: Scratch that, he probably is appalled with the nukes, but has no power to express that or give Kokonoe a well-deserving What the Hell, Hero?. I think he should concentrate on that.

[up][up] That could work too. And hopefully there'll be a point when someone, say, Rachel or whathaveyou breaks the limiter on Tager and he can finally give her a piece of his mind. Honestly, Hakumen giving her a thrashing wasn't enough.

I'd even have Lambda's ghost haunt the bitch if I could.

What chapter are you referring to again?

Well, it's very easy to do that, really. Kokonoe being so unflinching in her hatred and pride will make her an easy picking for a certain Lovecraftian Horror.

I feel sorry for poor Lambda.

I'd be surprised if she wasn't even a DLC alt palette for Nu. I know she's one for Mu but still. when all's said and done she doesn't get to die as, in a sort of sense, herself and gets turned into a prosphetic arm and thrown away.

Terumi should totally find a way to pluck her spirit out from the afterlife and turn her into, say, a spirit of vengeance.

[up][up] So she ends up possessed or teams up with an evil?

Well I'm afraid that's all I could tell you unless I want to unleash some spoilers of unreleased chapter plans. But still, yes, I'd make it clear that Kokonoe is rather bonkers and would've been more of a Heel, and not even fighting Terumi could excuse her actions.

It'll probably lead up to that in the actual game, especially with Bullet in the picture, that is, if sector Seven really did kill her unit.
