I've gotten a bunch of my reblogs flagged (naturally none of them even NSFW). If I neither appeal them nor delete them is my blog in danger of becoming shadowbanned? I ask this because some of them do have the appeal button at the top, but a few of them don't. Despite being nothing more than a girl standing there smiling.

Exactly as I expected sadly.

Already saw some of it occurring too. Nazis started posting shit a week or so ago.

Nice job tumblr staff you tossed out a lot of your original audience for neo-nazis, white supremacists, and general scumbags.

I feel bad for any of the artists still left on that site.

That's odd, I always thought Tumblr was pretty actively liberal based on their community posts. I guess they really did just talk the talk.

That sounds like Tumblr pre-Verizon-buyout.

The community was pretty liberal (they could get pretty limousine liberal at times, in fact), so the staffers played to that. But at some point that changed. Maybe when they were bought by Yahoo, maybe it was something else. I dunno, I don't pay attention to ownership politics. But people have been noting many trends with LGBT content getting censured and right-wing crap ignored.

The article does mention that all the sites they found, they told Tumblr about, and they were removed, but that's a drop in the bucket.

Probably Yahoo.

If the reports of 'We need to turn Black Lives Matter into regular customers' are to be believed, maybe they just realized that wouldn't work and course corrected to the opposite end.

I’m not too familiar with it, but there is apparently a website in the vein of tumblr called newtumbl.

Expect a lot of copy cat sites like that to spring up,hoping to pick up Tumblr's userbase,most won't last long.

As long as some of them are hosted outside the US, that would actually be an improvement.

Tumblr made the dashboard a super deep blue and upped the color contrast on the buttons.

How can one site be this incompetent?

Blame Verizon. It's been like this for years, only reason people haven't done more to find/create a better alternative is inertia.

It would look better if they made the white more grayish toned.

...I actually kinda like the new color.

Also, the adult content moved to Mastodon-powered sites.
