My ultimate favorite songs are "Fuwa Fuwa Time" and "Watashi no Koi wa Hotchikisu." Both the OP and ED are extremely addicting too.
I'm not the one to make this kind of posts, but
inb4 moeshow, moeshit, The Show With A Bunch Of Girls, etc.
I watched this not too long ago and actually liked it a lot more than I thought I would. Obviously there is moe and all of that, but I was watching it on a whim so I did not really care that much anyway. I am not that into music either, which was probably a benefit in hindsight because of how critical some people are of the songs in the series. Apparently "Watashi no Koi wa Hotchikisu" is "My Love is a Stapler" which I agree was pretty good. "Light and Fluffy Time" is one of those songs that sticks with me that I wish did not. Azusa is by far my favorite of the group just because she has the closest personality to mine.
I really do not understand why some people think K-On! and similar series are going to lead to the end of anime as we know it though. To me the series is just more about harmless fun than anything else. Still, I was kind of hesitant about saying I may have liked it with all of the criticism going around. Then I saw how "Don't Say Lazy" was used in this and I suddenly thought that K-On! may actually be something that could be called "epic". My current avatar is actually from K-On! believe it or not.

I agree that most moe shows are just harmless. They just, to quote Konata, cater to certain peoples' "special needs".
I've never seen what the problem was with moe shows. I mean, there's a time and place for these sorts of things; you can't live on Darker and Edgier alone.
What's wrong with cute, anyway?

Play Again? Y/NShame this stopped, 'cos it's funny as hell.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Almost as bad as Lucky Star. Almost.
it was a nice little trip back to school life for a bit. Pity I never joined a band like this when I was younger.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls! It's giving me an urge to learn guitar (like Yui) since I'm starting grade 10 in a new high school (like Yui) and need something to focus on (like Yui)
It's actually much worse.
Not my kind of thing. There's no "hook" to draw me in. (Like the Seinfeldian Conversation in Lucky Star)
For "club-related anime" I'm loving Sora No Maniamani though.
"No, the Singularity will not happen. Computation is hard." -Happy EntI always think of the lion puppet guy from Bleach.
Feedback Of Heteronormative Gender Stereotypes in AnimeI thought K-ON was alright, but it suffered from my having already seen Lucky Star and Azumanga Daioh. The characters in K-ON just seemed a little bland and samey by comparison. Except for Mio, who was pretty awesome.
I tried watching this, but it just failed to hold my interest at all. I'm not going to insult it because tastes vary, but it's just not for me.
Edit: I like Sora no Manimani too, even though I absolutely loathe the association of astronomy with constellations.

I thought it was fun to watch, and I hadn't really watched anything in like, two months.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimI guess it's either love it or hate it for K-On! I`m on the love it side though people here seem to lean towards the other.
It's strange, you know. I watched and loved Azumanga, but this just, fails to keep me. Don't know why.
Dost Thou Desire the Power ... Glove? It's so bad.Five episodes was all I could take.
I'm pretty much indifferent to it. I like some of the music (Don't Say Lazy is quite good) but the show itself didn't capture my attention, largely because they focused far more on the "moe" end than the "rock n' roll" end for my taste. And I'm at the point where finding freshmen girls in high school attractive has hit the "officially creepy" mark. Saying that, were I a few years younger, I'd be crushing on Mio like it was my job. So it's just basically not my thing. If someone wants to actually put up links to most of the music they use in the show, I would be greatful, though.

My Blog thingI liked it just fine.
But there's a difference between finding them attractive in that sense and "Awwwwww cute.". I'm not sure if K-On! isn't appealing to the latter...
Play Again? Y/NI'm also not quite old enough where I can feasibly have that reaction for someone who's not younger than 10, so...it's just better if I stay out of it, y'know?
My Blog thingNever really registered as "cute" for me either. I just found it funny and enjoyable. I guess I don't understand Moe.
I do understand rolling on the floor and begging for ice cream though.

Finished the series yesterday. Oh god, the moe is so awesome. The songs are really nice too. Gives a nice lift in the morning. Great series, would love to see more.
I always seem to be behind on my anime. Granted, I started this summer but I haven't gotten much yet.
