Well, this is...diferrent.
That's about all I can say, really.
still, gotta give them credit for teaching an old dog new tricks.

The Danse Macabre CodexHmm, a fall back from taking abilities from enemies to the simple suck grab and throw? Interesting, but I'll have to see how that one plays out.
It's still absolutely adorable though.
The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated. That actually might be the happiest thing I've ever seen.
There were maybe 3 seconds where I wasn't going "D'awwwwwwwwwwwww".
We have a natural right to make use of our pens as of our tongue, at our peril, risk and hazard. ~VoltaireThe whole game looks like Sweet Dreams Fuel. I absolutely love the artstyle and like Paper Mario before it their taking advantage of the art-style for the gameplay. I wodln't give up hope on Kirby's Mega Manning making a comeback. I don't see how tank and UFO power would wprk otherwise.
- Love the pun BTW. A yarn is a story (usually a dull one). The title is both an oxy-moron and Exactly What It Says on the Tin.

The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Yeah, I'm pretty sure the Car and UFO (to say nothing of the gently-parachuting Kirby, which looks almost certainly like a riff on the classic Parasol power) are copy abilities. Just because we see Kirby doing nothing but yarn-whippin' doesn't mean he won't still be copying stuff.
I love the art style. I don't know why, but the way his feet turned into a little scribble when he was pulling back that zipper made me "D'aaaaaawwww!" in a powerful way.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~MadrugadaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!
MUST GET!
I dunno...
It looks fun, but it kind of crossed the line between "cutesy" and "cutesy-poo".
Really, this looks like Kirby's answer to Paper Mario. Which is a very good thing.
Also, TANK Kirby.
GOH! JII! RAH!^^Really, I can't say I care about how cutesy a game is (or for that matter, how over the top in violence and gore a game is either), so long as it's enjoyable. Kirby has had a long history of platformers that always turn out fun, so I'm not worried.
Also, something else, he never uses his floating abilities in that preview but does move vertically by latching onto stuff. Perhaps in order to make use of that piece of yarn, he will be losing his flight abilities?
EDIT: Also, multiplayer!

The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated.Man, I don't know how they did it, but they made Kirby cuter. I didn't know this was possible. I will be getting this.
Acid Rain is ruining the environment! Don't persue the dying in bad weather! No flight? No sucking? RUINED FOREVER!
Nah, but seriously it does look great.
Unless they do unveil the ability to copy... erm, abilities, I'm seeing it more as a "Back to the basics" since Kirby's most basic attribute is his ability to grab things and throw them back, which is enjoyable all on its own.
The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated. This game will suck. There will be sucking. The parasol, U Fo, and truck don't make sense otherwise. Which means we might see unqiue powerups that take advantage of the art style. I wonder if the similarities to Paper Mario might mean there'll be a plot. Not likely though.
Judging from Nintendo's website, the transformations might not be from eating enemies. It seems that the car is just the dashing function.
Fanfiction I hate.I keep reading this as Kirby's Epic Yam....That being said....Nintendo is doing damn good at winning back my love and trust...
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahI've watched that trailer like five times now, and I'm epicly disappointed I can't huggle Kirby.
Not just any scribble, but tank treads.
Getting hyped about this, myself, especially with the giant Mecha Tank Kirby.
Rhubarb.Did they really have to have 'epic' in the title? Not only is that word horribly overused, but it doesn't fit the tone at all.
It's a pun. Look up the definition of "Yarn".
For added emphasis.
The emotions of others can seem like such well guarded mysteries, people 8egin to 8elieve that's how their own emotions should 8e treated. You just know the final boss is going to be some bleeding eyeball or something equally out of place.
Got sick of my old avatar. But I still can't resist one last Jiiiii~
New Kirby game finally announced. Looks... interesting, to say the least. Looks like they're changing the gameplay style almost entirely, but still looks interesting.
