Oh, yeah, forgot to mention: I too find it funny. It have happened to me a lot as well. In fact, provide I have suficient stones, I try to cover the whole forest with my walls. Or just leave them completely outside.
Also, wasn't the 'wololo' from the first Age Of Empires?
Not having played AoE, I thought it was a Warcraft II comic at first. Really, it's pretty much universal.
You don't have walls in Warcraft II, so this problem don't really come up as often.
Eh, rows of farms have the same slowing/channeling effect. I always tried to close off my gaps with two rows deep of farms and a row of towers.
That is why I said as often. It is possible to have a similar situation in Warcraft, but not as likely. Also, there is clearly walls in the comic, so it couldn't be Warcraft II anyway.
There are walls in WCII, it's just that you can't build them yourself.
Well, then there is no Mongol in in WCII.
Heh, yeah, I realized it must be AoE by that panel.
More 'stupid worker' Age Of Empires joke.
There needs to be more webcomic strips featuring AOE.
Loves me some Portal humor.
It was weird but I actually didn't get the joke the second time I read it and had to remember the first time I read it. I think there needed to be more panels to make the joke clearer. Which is kinda funny because in one of the rants in another comic she talked about how she always explained the joke because she is worried people on't get it but she's trying to improve. And I was like, 'yeah, there should totally be more subtle humor. Anyway.
The latest comic was a bit hard to read. I wasn't really sure what Katie was trying to show here, and I had to puzzle it together from the author's comments and the facial expressions.
Actions scenes seem to be her main weakness.
Why does everyone seem to have trouble with this one? The joke seemed clear to me from Chell's expression when she finally just used the portal gun.
I have a message from another time...Now she's thinking with portals.
I didn't get the action panels (and still don't), but the comic makes sense.
I got it the first time I read it but the second time it wasn't apparent to me where she put the portals that made it so easy. But yeah, I got it the first time.
I think she was trying to find different ways to get through the room but kept getting killed by stuff due to attempting to go through it the conventional way until she finally remembered the Portal Gun.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.It's a legitimate problem in Portal 2.
They give you all this crazy shit you can manipulate with portals and sometimes you forget that you yourself can use the portals as well.
One of my few regrets about being born female is the inability to grow a handlebar mustache. -LandstanderIs it me, or does it seem like Norrin writes all the comics with dark humor?
He does. Must be some sort of yin yang between the two since Katie seems to write all of the bubbly funny comics while Norrin writes all of the darker comics.
The thing about making witty signature lines is that it first needs to actually be witty. My favorite Norrin comic was the Doctor & Spy one, but this one might have it beat.
Problem: unless things have changed, it's the mourning dudes picking fights with you.
I have a message from another time...Norrin made the Pokemon Center one, yah? Humor dark as a black hole, that one.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. From the comments, it does sound like it.

Age of Empires II will always be relevant. And yes, this happened to me a lot as well. Dumbass villagers. Leave them alone for a few minutes, and they start gathering resources exactly where you don't want them to.
