Something quick an frantic, with a reference to sleeping in and getting up whenever life knocks you down. Possibly with contrasting tempo in verses and chorus with the verses reflecting her self doubt and bad luck and the other her determination to get through?

Yeah. She's definitely frantic... and I like that about her.

Nothing too loud, as she doesn't seem to be someone that comes to the foreground often. Perhaps a little acoustic guitar or brass instrument tune would suit her?
