Apparently it's coming back in January. Prediction: Netero will die.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.Please. A rousing game of kill the wise old mentor is so incredibly stock that predicting it isn't that hard :/
Honestly, Schedule Slip aside, the Chimera Ant arc has been one of my least favourites so far. I'm hoping that it gets better, but it really hasn't grabbed me. I guess I'll have to wait a bit and see if it comes together at the end, but...
@ Magus: I ROFL'ed.
Another prediction: Killua and Gon will have a Relationship Upgrade before the manga ends. Because Togashi is like that.
Also: I am loving the HELL out of the Chimera Ants. Awesome group of villains right there.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.I disliked the arc up until the King started playing Gungi. Then the amazing fights began. But I'm not particularly thrilled with the whole "narrator" thing that started happening around the final invasion of the castle.
EDIT: My favorite Ant right now is Shaiapouf and his guilt trips, but Leol isn't ( wasn't) far behind.

Yeah, the narrator annoys me too. It's kind of a lazy way of explaining things and adding melodrama.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.I think it was intended as a replacement for having an in-story Combat Commentator. I find it less annoying than that, but usually I wish that he would write fights that take less explaining.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.Yeah, Shaiapouf is my favorite too (next to Nefelpitou).
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.I'm a bit underwhelmed. The art is pretty sketchy given how long he's had to prepare for this, and not a lot really happened in this chapter. Still, at least it's moving again.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.Hmm... it's a bit looser than his usual, but the general conformation of the artwork isn't that different... maybe he changed inkers?
Anyways, interesting. Wonder how long it'll last this time? And when did Netero learn how to fly?
I think it's an interesting bit a character development for Netero. The former hot-blooded hero who really did become the strongest... and got bored of having to hold back all the time. of having to put up the "patient old master" facade when he really just wants to be challenged and put his life on the line in a hot-blooded battle.
Are they still in North Korea?
Sorry, couldn't resist.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information. One Manga has a new chapter. They're still in North Korea, but the fight between Netero and the King is getting interesting. It looks like Netero still has a chance, but it's a very tough fight for him.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information. This is nice. It's not often that the Badass Grandpa gets to fight at a disadvantage with someone who the plot will allow him to beat.

It seems like the king is actually trying to kill him. I'm thinking maybe he'll almost kill him, and then remember what he's trying to get out of him and hold back at the last moment, allowing Netero to win.
...eventually, we will reach a maximum entropy state where nobody has their own socks or underwear, or knows who to ask to get them back.I agree with Desertopa, but I also think that Whatsitcalled Zero is a Dangerous Forbidden Technique that will end up killing both Netero and the King.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.I personally think it's awesome that we actually get to see Netero in a full out fight. Because usually these type of completely hyped-up supposedly strongest in the world-type mentors get shoved out of the way so that the protagonist can take on the Big Bad instead... so I love how Hunter X Hunter subverts that instead.
The narrator doesn't bother me that much. It does the job. Maybe I'm just a lazy reader, but I would probably have a harder time figuring out what was going on in those fights without it.
I'm actually curious about what other people think about the king's Character Development?
i initially disliked the arc due to some of the character deaths (they seemed brutal and unnecessary tbh) and when i noticed just how similar hunterxhunter was getting to dbz i was a little worried, but i have to say im impressed with the way things have gone with the arc.
not so impressed with the drawings. but hey, at least they're not just scribbles. hopefully that wont happen again...
Yeah, Togashi is known for his Incurable Cough of Death- which causes the manga to be called Hiatus x Hiatus.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.I thought he had wrist problems.

I've actually heard that he doesn't have any actual medical problem, he just has trouble keeping up with a weekly the schedule.
Pretty certain most of the things one hears about this sort of thing is just rumours, though.
In recent chapters, Palm and Welkin have done Heel Face Turns and the King has just ripped off one of Netero's legs. Looks like the arc is moving towards a conclusion...finally.
Currently taking a break from the site. See my user page for more information.I kind of could have guessed for Palm.
Heaven doesn't want me, and Hell's afraid I'll take over.Actually, Welkin didn't really to a Heel–Face Turn so much as leave to join another villain (Remember Gyro, who had the elaborate Freudian Excuse but no other characterization?).

Allow me to begin the thread by noting that Zeno looks exactly like Jerry Stiller.
