Should we convert Hentai into an index?

For the adult Content, in Literature, there's The Anita Blake supernatural Detective novels, the Longarm western series, and the Gor Fantasy series. I know we have pages on Gor and Anita Blake, I doubt if there's one for Longarm, since we don't really have much of a "westerns" presence.

I can't believe I didn't think of the Anita Blake series, as I've read several of those books. That's great though, as we have at least two examples now. Can anyone think of a few more?

edit @ Raso: Mai-chan's Daily Life would fall under Hentai, which would be a sub-index of this proposed new index. I'm not quite sure I understand your question about the H-Games.

Yep. Merry Gentry is one long sex scene. True Blood has vampire sex. Queer As Folk has gay sex. The L Word has lesbian sex. The Tudors has historical sex.

Perfect, those (along with Mad's suggestions and one I just found, Caligula) should be plenty. I will try to get started on this later this afternoon.

Okay, I took your suggestions and made the YKTTW here. Feel free to add to it if you come up with anything else, or can think of a way the writeup can be improved.

I know I'm jumping the gun here, but there have been a couple of people on the YKTTW who have expressed that they don't feel the index is needed.

When people object to a proposed YKTTW, how do you determine whether it should be launched or not?

I think a lot of the objections to it are being a bit prudish honestly. Though, the more I think about it, it might be better to make it a trope rather than an index since it's something that the work contains, not something that defines the work.

They aren't offering any reason why it shouldn't be an index. Take them seriously when they offer a reason.

^ It's not a trope, though. It's a works index, like Thud And Blunder. In the best case, it should have a list of tropes necessary to it or extremely common in it, and then the list of works.

True. I think the problem is people are just being prudish about things. These are works that we have listed on the site. We're just linking them together for searchability. If you object to the index, don't read works listed on it.

I think a section of common tropes that comes before the examples section should be easy to do, as I could just take some from the list of Sex Tropes. Calling Your Orgasms, etc.

I will try to come up with a few and add them into the YKTTW later on today.

Ok, well almost exactly a year after I proposed my initial question, this is done. Hentai is now an index, and the broader listing of works with Adult scenes has been launched as Explicit Content.

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help with creating the article. This was actually my first ever YKTTW, so I learned a lot in the process. If anyone wants to check behind me and make sure I didn't miss anything, feel free!
