The Drunk Thread

I think the vanilla comes from the root beer and ginger ale.

Back when I inherited a roommate's liquor stock, I discovered Southern Comfort and powder-mix lemonade tastes a lot like artificial banana flavor.

You know what's wild? Watching a linguist Youtuber's introduction to Kanji video on half a bottle of wine.

I'm having that wobbly feeling again from drinking Coke & rum with dinner tonight. Well at least it helped to erase some of that good mood-crushing news I got earlier today.

FINALLY I can play! I have needed a fucking drink for WEEKS now. Today pushed me over the edge. I almost got in a car accident.

I was here◊. I took Exit 279 in the left lane to pass a semi without a trailer. A pickup cut over the median, through the dirt, and came into my lane! Of course I honked and swerved over to the right lane. He was inches away from me! The car behind me in the right lane slammed on the brakes and honked. The driver in front of us was spooked, so they honked and slammed on their brakes too.

Kinda wish I would have had one of those My Life Flashed Before My Eyes moments, because my life up to that point was slightly less stressful than the near miss.

So, yeah. vodka time. I'm gonna regret this in the morning and I am 200% ok with that.

Speaking of which!

This one time I was working as an EMT. My partner and I were at a hospital, getting ready to transfer a patient to a nursing home.

It was a normal transfer out of a hospital. Paul (partner) was rearranging stuff so we could get the patient from the bed to the pram. He bent wrong, and his radio came loose from his belt. I saw this. Then the radio fell, I caught it, and I dropped it in his cargo pocket. It took him a second, but then...

Paul: Did you just catch my radio? Me: Yep. Fell off your belt. Paul: ....[snort].....pfft!!!! Ok, hold on, we gotta go out in the hall... Me and Paul: :L :L [hysterical laughter, high fives, etc.]

It was stupid. And funny. Stupid funny, actually. And I'm going to remember it when my life flashes before my eyes.

I miss Paul. He sucks at internet and does not use facebook. So. I have no way of contacting him. :(

I'm getting old. I was gonna get good and riggedy riggedy wrecked last night for my birthday; ended up only having one glass of Jameson and one vodka cranberry before playing some Xbox and going to bed at 930pm.

Malt liquor is fucking terrible.

I guess I'd rather be drinking this than the blended swill that a party host left out of a liquor cabinet to get warm... but not by much.

So I got myself a normal bottle of honeyed dark beer brewed in the Tyniec abbey.

I finished it and now I feel sleepy. Shit, I must be getting old.

I wasn't sure whether to post in this thread or the Romance thread. ^_^;; Well, here goes.

There's something about the wobbly feeling I get from drinking Coke & rum that makes me want to be comfortingly held in my girlfriend's arms. :) ^_^;;

I may get drunk on weekend. Hope I can find the way here.

Hmm. Good night overall. Learning the limits of alcohol so as not to get drunk enough to spoil the party to people around me, but enough to enjoy myself. Glad I'm not the same inexperienced kid I was a year ago. How I'm proud of the change he has accomplished in the past year, both personally, academically and overally.

There is hope for the future, as long as there continues to be an investment on my part to secure it. (This message may have been aided by the use of the autocorrector feature).

Oh man, I love rum so much.

Three of my top favorite drinks are just beer, gin and tonic, and rum and coke.

Now I learned that it can also go well with hot chocolate. Hot damn!!

I was tempted to create a Gargle Blaster made from a shot of absinthe, a shot of scotch, sugar, 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, ginger ale, a bit of genadine, and a shot of everclear (or any grain alcohol will work if it is higher than 190 proof) to finish the recipe. Shake, or stir it, but make sure all contents are homogenous. Serve chilled. I’m not sure what the end result is going to be, but I do want it to go Up To Eleven in terms of strength.

I do want to double subvert the trope in the process by adding an ingredient that delays the effects. However, by implication, I’m calling it “The Mind Screw” just because of the presumed effect it would have on one’s cognitive abilities.

Also, unless if you’re bored AND crazy, Do Not Try This at Home. I’m not doing it due to being a diabetic.

And for those wondering, I rarely ever drink. And if I do, I usually go for the low alcohol content to avoid the negative effects.
