His straight line run he has that stretched out look at one point but his slower and turning runs have more paws on the ground. Since both the beasts were rollicking in the muddy grass their undercarriages are a bit of a mess. The fluffy Miss Phoebe needs the clods soaked out and Mr Hero just needs a good rinse.
Who watches the watchmen?Had the first two of my classes today. The math teacher is pretty cool and hopefully it being an actual taught class it can help me rebuild my math skills. The mythology class is going to be awesome. The teacher is an older British gentleman and he is pretty funny.
In the Mugging the Monster department:
A would-be mugger in Rio de Janeiro clearly wasn’t aware of the latter when he thought a woman of Viana’s stature made a proper target for robbery.
She's 10-2, he's ate up.
She took his breath away.
She fought like a girl, he cried like a baby.
I'll let you guys come up with your own...
All night at the computer, cuz people ain't that great. I keep to myself so I won't be on The First 48Freya's tits, this Communications 2 class I'm taking is gonna be a royal pain. Today the first class was hectic; almost reminded me of the first day of basic, lol. And we have to have a persuasive, five paragraph essay for Wed. I went with the topic of Metallica vs Megadeth, arguing that Megadeth is a little better due to consistency. Funny thing was one girl actually, mid-class, went onto the Macomb website, dropped the class, and walked out lol.
Well, it has finally happened. After guarding this location for 11 years, 5 as part of a 5 guard team and 6 on my own, I pulled the trigger on getting to another site. The reason I left in the work thread. My replacement will be ready for training a few weeks, shortly after I will be trained as a supervisor at another site. I lose a dollar an hour but gain time as a supervisor on a post that gives me 8-4 work days and my weekends off again.
Who watches the watchmen?Taira, "she showed him who the bitch really was" comes to mind offhand, as I contemplate a bed-ward motion.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI really miss having a job where I sit for large parts of the day, but I feel like I shouldn't drive professionally for a while, especially not in a city notorious for thick traffic. I'm also not liking being back in retail customer service. But I don't think entry level jobs where I sit most of the day and don't have to talk to a couple dozen strangers a day that aren't driving exist.

Fresh-eyed movie blogParadox: Try getting a security gig. Most posts you do nothing or only do a few patrols. Depends on the site though.
Damn, I am now increasingly glad that I am bailing from my current site. Not only am I punching out, but several people I know are as well and for some of the same reasons. Even the vast majority of the cleaning crew is leaving.

Who watches the watchmen?Just spent half an hour hunting a tiny cockroach that got into my apartment, only to discover it was actually a weird-looking moth. Still feeling uneasy, though. That thing moved a lot like a cockroach, and I'm not so certain that the thing I found was the thing I spent this whole time hunting. I might move my big cleaning day to an earlier spot this week just to be sure...

Yeah bug hunts seem to be a good reason to clean like a demon especially to stop roaches.
Who watches the watchmen? In fairness, that's basically the first one to appear since I moved, and I'm still not certain it was an actual roach, considering I never found it after killing the moth. This place has been much better than my last one in that aspect, at least.
Still, that cleaning is probably going to be done earlier either way.
I am finally back online!
So context: last weekend, the Seattle area was hit by a massive storm. Like, 70 mile an hour gusts of wind. Because of this, over 200k customers (not people, customers, ie houses and businesses) lost power.** Did I mention the day this happened was the day our internet was supposed to be turned on?
So even after the storm damage was supposedly fixed, our internet still wasn't working and we had to wait until today for a tech to get out here and discovered someone had turned off the switches for our house. But now, we have internet again! Huzzah!
In other news, working for Boeing is not too bad at all. I'm still in training until the end of the month, and most of the training has felt like a review of stuff I did in the Navy. Which, I suppose, was part of the point in taking a job similar to the one I did before, but for some of these classes it's been a struggle to stay awake.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswBlue: Time to start dipping coffee.
Who watches the watchmen? That sounds pleasant. Good that it's passed and you're back online.
Anybody seen the news about Netflix being sued by Poloygin aka "Choose Your Own Adventure" for brand infringement? Here.
Can't help but think that anybody who confuses Black Mirror with wholesome fun for all the family (suitable for 8 and up) by this point in time has been living under a rock.
Hey, welcome black Blue! Now that you're down here we can hang out. Where we will awkwardly sit in silence trying to make small talk.
Euo: That is eye roll worthy. Especially considering CYOA the book line was never the first to use that phrase or the first to use it.
Who watches the watchmen?Just returned from the Old New Year karaoke-slash-dance party. Today's the last day in the long string of winter holidays that are celebrated on post-Soviet area: Catholic Christmas, The New Year, Orthodox Christmas and The New Year by the Julian calendar (hence the Old New Year). The first and the last one are kinda unofficial since we don't get day-offs on those days.
The hosts are folks from the foreign language center I'm a regular member of. I participate in its English discussion club every Saturday in order to practice my speaking skills.
The party went nice, it wasn't too crowded - there were, like, ten or twelve people, tops, most of them twenty-to-thirtysomethings like me. Sang two songs ... adequately. It was the first time for me to sing something on any kind event in front of any kind of audience, so, naturally, I got a little tense and didn't sing as good as I was able to sing on my singing lessons. I guess you can only get rid of that kind of stage fright through practice (or start a one-man studio project, lol). Moved my limbs and torso energetically along with everyone else to the sound of music (I've heard it's called dancing). Had a strangely deep for such kind of events conversation with others. All in all, it was fun.

Spiral out, keep going.I just went to my first 5AM workout session. Pretty great. I've been to the gym before and I prefer how they actually explain the exercises and give one on one attention even in group classes, which are intentionally small—only about 10 people max. Also, since all the businesses were closed, there was actually nearby parking for once. I also liked having so much spare time even though I did go back to sleep for an hour or two. One down, 15 more to go.
There was an earthquake, but even though I was actually awake I didn't notice it. In my area I think it was a 1.
Well, my Communications 2 class is an absolute clusterfuck. The teacher gives no clear instructions, and we have a debate coming up next Thurs. According to the teacher the other group is disorganized, but so is mine.
Luckily, either out laziness or wanting to avoid responsibility, my group has nominated me the leader. So I'm gonna do the heavy lifting and get our argument material this weekend. I WILL make sure we win this debate. If it's up to me to unfuck this group so be it.
...huh.
Lovecraftian: Yeah. This class is a shitshow. And apparently the instructor is a published novelist. I weep for her editor, tbh.
Well, hey, Stephanie Meyer is also a published novelist. Title means less and less these days.
But yeah, tough spot there with that class. Good luck with the debate.
Can You imagine walking into a Media Studies, Communications or Creative Writing class to find... her as your teacher?
The horror. <shudders>
Knew it! I bet he has a lope setting, as well. Won't have the gait of a spitz, but more like a miniature saluki.
