Anyway, I'm going to bed. I'll return tonight. Probably.

But soft! What rock through yonder window breaks? It is a brick! And Juliet is out cold.

Hmm, we're not allowed to utilize the letter between R and T. I bet a fellow troper will fail in the near future.

Edit: Or recently.

What about an emoticon containing the forbidden letter? Allowed or not? And would anyone have the link to that no-"e"-allowed thread?

It can be employed to indicate ambivalence — a variation on the common colon-and-letter pattern, but not ultra-common like :P or :D

I doubt you're talking about the colon-three cat face.

Awww, now we can't talk about a no-legged animal, or an arachnid with a deadly tail. Wait... can we u5e five5 like thi5? If not, I'll be okay, but it would be undifficult then.

Undifficult? Oh, you mean not hard. Or the meaning of the word "facil" from the language of origin in the one we are using now.

However, I think that to emply the 5 in place of the letter being avoided, would be to cheat.

[up][up]But that would eliminate the point! We can talk about dromopoda, which would be one level above the order of the deadly-tailed arachnid you talk of.

The thing that I find annoying would be that I can't mention the name of my favourite character in Greek mythology. In either thread for a "forbidden letter" game, actually, due to the name containing both an E and the letter we can't utilize here.

Oh, but then you can employ an epithet — the favorite tool of the Greek poet! Call her "the petrifier", "child of Ceto", "ophidian-haired maiden", "once-rival of Athena", "famed Gorgon"...

Indeed. We don't know if they were the viper, python, boa, or rattler type, or indeed another type or multiple mixed together — only that they were Ophidia.

True, true. I imagine there would be a way to talk about her if I were inclined to.

At any rate, you knew exactly who I talked about there even without my mentioning her name. I imagine that would be due to the reputation I have developed here.
