Wiz's experiments on Boomstick sure took a weird turn.
Lewis is in the premiere chat for Youngblood #0 and he mentioned something about looking out for Dune. I think.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Speaking of which, Youngblood #0:
On an unrelated note, does anyone wish he'd dig into some of the comics that he's shown in the intro? I'd like to hear more about "The Comic Book History of Comics", and I also saw "What if the Marvel Bullpen became the Fantastic Four" in that pile (that sounds more fun that US 1).
Linkara takes his first look at Marvel's The New Universe with Kickers, Inc. #1.
That comment from Dasher about athletes being brain damaged is harsh in hindsight given how well known the problem of concussions are in football.
Yes.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyTo be fair, I've read some of the New Universe books (only individual issues, never full runs) and the one's I've read (Justice, Spitfire, and Psi-Force) arent that bad to be honest, it's just that Marvel had created this epic mythology around the MU, and the fans didnt want to have to focus on two seperate universes. Marvel 2099 (which was still in the MU, just many many years later) had a similar concept but pulled it off better (also, kudos for picking a year that was far off enough, no "far off world of 1994" here).
Linkara takes a look at the one of Image's first (and as of now, longest running) comics: The Savage Dragon!

Huh, 90s kid, havent seen him in a while (I dont watch the storyline videos, so if he showed up in one of those than I missed it).
I just realized that Linkara has a BloodGunn comic on his shelf.
So what's Mechakara doing now that he's human and has human needs? Like eating, drinking and money
Probably trying to figure out how to make himself a robot again. Or at least turn himself into a cyborg.
Darkwing Duck #1-4
Is that the IDW comics one? Awesome.
Optimism is a duty.Taurus Bulba is apparently the Cyborg-Superman of the setting. Compare their status and abilities.
Though Bulba, unlike Henshaw, seems to have fewer problems with his status.
Actually, Taurus Bulba only shows up in the pilot, then is rebuilt by FOWL and goes rogue to hunt down Darkwing in a later episode, at the end of which he flies off, and a suggestion is made that we will see him again. But we never do in the cartoon. He only ultimately returns in the comics, where he does not last very long once he is revealed.
He is NOT Cyborg Superman. Gizmoduck is Cyborg Superman, if anything, and fits much better.

Optimism is a duty.Except Gizmoduck is an actual hero. Cyborg Superman not so much.
He returns in the comics as an electronic existence which can shape himself from technology, creates a Villain with Good Publicity thing, is involved with fanatical law robots (Manhunters and Crimebots).
Kinda sad they did so little with him.
That part where he can suddenly posess electronics and hop between them came completely out of nowhere in the comic, mind you. There was NOTHING in the canon prior to that suggesting that that was an option. He was basically Evil Robocop before that.
Optimism is a duty.Well, even if there was little or nothing to suggest that as an option, I'm a fan of it.
Cyborg Superman is also outright suicidal. No, really. He hates being an immortal electronic being since the circumstances of becoming one involved the complete destruction of his old life and the loss of the people he loved. It turns out that a big part of his supervillainy is really a glorified Suicide by Cop routine — he's trying to goad powerful beings like Green Lantern and Superman to kill him. Heck, the reward the Anti-Monitor promised him in return for serving him during the Sinestro Corp War arc was that the Anti-Monitor would permanently kill him. Hank Henshaw actually shed tears of gratitude when the Anti-Monitor promised he would kill him. And when the Manhunters revived him at the end of the arc because they wanted his leadership again, he shed tears of regret.

Disgusted, but not surprisedHence why I said earlier that Bulba seemed to be taking to it better, in contrast.
Even then, there was a telling line in his initial cartoon appearance "you expected my gratitude for your little experiment, without annoying me with petty nuisances like...getting my permission!"
