I know a few Nightmare Calvinists who would beg to differ.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableOn the subject of Scythemantis - Awwww.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableTidings and salutations!
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI am not sure I've been actively posting long enough to provide any links, but everyone who knows "Shadsie" on Deviant Art, who has been to my webpage...
I paint skulls. I don't mean pictures of skulls. Actual skulls. I collect from wildlife and roadkill and buy taxidermy scrap and such and make art out of it. You can just look up my name on DA. I have a gallery of the stuff. I'm not alone, either - there are other bone/skull artists. I don't do humans, at least.
Does that count for a nightmare fetish?
In which I attempt to be a writer.Okay, I'm in.
Male Yandere, yay!
Mad ladies and gentlecreeps, I present to you: diaphonization, the art of desecrating mortal vessels until they look pretty enough to get you a pass. First discovered it at a SAM exhibit back in March; different subjects require different techniques, and the methodical diversity of the procedure is simply fascinating.

Oh, I've seen an article on that before! It was about a Japanese artist who took unwanted fish off fishing boats and preserved and stained them. I seem to remember him quoted as saying that his work was popular with women, who liked the colors and delicate bones.
Anyway, I think it's cool. I never really did well in the sciences when I was in school and was too interested in an art path to pursue a biology degree, but I have a *strong* streak of bio-geek in me.
In which I attempt to be a writer.Hello all! I'm a huge fan of bloody movies and I enjoy disturbing artwork!
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!Wow, those are pretty! :D I've never heard of this before.
Welcome home.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI've been told I qualify. Demure, shy, innocent, liking cute things - and Nightmare Fetishist to the extent that discussing just what my nightmare fetishes are would not be appropriate for this site
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonThank you, and yes, that Russian phrase is completely correct
I thought I need to be more active on the fora. It was my home long time ago, after all
If we disagree, that much, at least, we have in commonI'd hoped I was using the phrasebook correctly. :P :)
...
I'm going to try to find something to post to help make this more than just a confession thread...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableOoh, I've seen that one! Maybe it's because the writer wanted to portray Msr Melies as a dedicated artist instead of a psychotic dark sorcerer? :P
Echoing hymn of my fellow passerine | Art blog (under construction)Lets see here...I love Silent Hill, Dead Space (I like The Thing along side that for obvious reasons), well done Creepypasta art. Industrial anything, Bioshock.....jesus I could make a really long list of stuff others consider creepy/disturbing/scary that I like.

I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!I love the "Art Hand"! It looks like someone smashed a bunch of Instagram collages and Hellboy concept art together in a particle accelerator with an overactive imagination.

Just read the entries on God and Satan Are Both Jerks:
I'm not sure if this makes me a Satanist, but I know it makes Scythemantis one.
