Here's something I will never understand.
Why are prices on Steam games so low?
Like, why is Overlord priced at $5 before counting the 75% off from the sale?
Anyway, maybe I'll get Bioshock. It's only $5 after all, and it's been a very long time since I've played an FPS, and freeware single-player FPSs are nearly non existent, so $5 is probably the next best thing.

I suppose they can afford to charge so low.
I guess. It helps that it's digital, so they have an unlimited stock and it costs them next to nothing to sell a copy.
"Why are prices on Steam games so low?"
Most games not expected bring much revenue after first few months. Anything after considered extra revenue, so price not too important. At a point, decreasing price = much higher revenue, so price low.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here. Also, it is not like you can re-sell the games. You can't even let other people borrow them. That, and needing LOW overhead per sale, drives the price of anything download-able down.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Damn it. Why the hell is Valve so good at persuading me to part with my money? Every time they have one of these sales, I wind up spending around AUD$35 and ending up with another three or four games in my account. Most of the ones I already have I haven't finished and getting more makes that even more unlikely.
Accidental mistakes are forgivable, intentional ones are not. They actually sold out on Prey last year during the Christmas sale.
Oh. Oops. Oh shit. JAF already made a huge blanket topic, so no one's allowed to post in this one anymore. JAF is, as you know, the ultimate authority on threads in this forum, and we, the mere proletariat, must all bow down to his will and post only in JAF-approved JAF-filled threads.
now that I have a more stable computer, I decided to (FINALLY) get Steam. Although I may have to wait till I get my laptop before Im able to play some games.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadI'm right now debating on whether or not to buy the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. pack...I'm not much of a horror person but I've looked it up from time to time and it looks interesting...unfortunately doing so will probably clog up the computer, and I don't want that to happen because this is my family's, not just mine.
I bought Amnesia, DMC 4 and the Overlord pack. Jesus Christ Amnesia is unnerving. Everything pulses, like a bad flash game. Only scary. And after I stop playing everything is still pulsing.
Is it just Valve policy at this point to put Team Fortress 2 on salle whenever there's a special going on?
I bought Amnesia, the STALKER pack, and Plants vs Zombies.
I just bought Plants Vs Zombies. It took me, like, 20 hours to do so.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here....Damnit. I JUST bought Plants vs Zombies a week ago.
And my curretn computer can't play anything more impressive.
Oh well.
Well, I'm disappointed. Fifty games on sale. Looked through all of them, and given that I already have Bioshock and Overlord and I'd probably suck at Plants vs. Zombies, Alter Ego looks like the only one I'd want. I could easily go a couple years before playing it, and I'm guessing that by that time its price will have dropped below $10, so I'm skipping this one.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulNot going to waste my money on another sale, too many games on my backlog right now. Still, I'd recommend S.T.A.L.K.E.R. .. personally I don't consider it really horror, and it's certainly buggy, but it has an incredibly strong atmosphere, some good gameplay mechanics and an awesome modding community. It's certainly a rewarding purchase.
I got Overlord and Dead Space. They added DMC 4 on a cover disc to one of local gaming magazines a while back, so that one's off the list.

Happy Halloween! Who needs to go out for tricks and treats when all these scary yet super fun games are up to 75% off!
Typing that out made me feel dirty. None the less, there seems to be some decent stuff there.
