Yeah just been forever since anyone translated a chapter.

Been so long that next time it updates I'm gonna have to reread the current arc to see what's going on.

I see. It was in my local manga/manhwa rental store and it had up to ninth volume.

It has something to do with Greenback Jane girl. Some chinese girl that they hung out to dry.

Revy threaten to lesbian rape Greenback Jane girl. That was kinda funny.

@ EHK: Last I heard, the manga was still on hiatus. Have you heard something different?

I don't know. I just know it's been forever since I saw a new chapter.

Volume 9 was the end of the seemingly-endless "Roberta's Blood Trail" arc — which has just been adapted into an OVA, so the anime's nearly up to date now. After that, there's been 5-6 chapters of a new Jane arc, but that story is over. The manga has now been on hiatus for more than a year, with no clue on when it's starting again.

Is there any word on the next chapter? Anything at all?

Oh, and I heard that the OVA changes a few things for no particular reason. That sucks.

I read the first two volumes and got to say, I really, REALLY, like this series. I like Revy and Rock, and if the former is a Tsundere, she's a very likeable one.

She's a traditional tsundere she warms up as the series goes on. So I guess more of a defrosting ice queen.

Rock is awesome.

Rock is the epitome of Badass Normal.

Well Badass Pacifist no one in Black Lagoon has super powers so everyone is normal, but yeah he's a total badass.

No superpowers my ass. You honestly expect me to believe that Roberta isn't the result of Superman getting frisky with a Terminator?

Yes she's impossible good, but so is every other named character, except the non action people. She just happens to be slightly more impossibly good. That's still not a super power.

Bitch can run as fast as a car. HOW IS THAT NOT A SUPERPOWER?

How can Simon punch people across the street or jumped out of windows to intercept a punch yet have no superpowers in Durarara? Perhaps what we are seeing is an exaggeration of actual events.

Roberta is just Charles Atlas Superpower taken up to omega, as far as I know.

I thought the whole things supposed to be like Tarantino-esqe heavily-stylized reality, where things usually operate like normal except when crazy action shit happens.

It's action movie the manga. They can do that shit because they can. It's not super powers or anything of the like. They are all normal humans who can for no real reason do extraordinary things.

I think that sums up why I love this series already.

That's why I love it too. That and the english dub was really well done.

The manga is currently at ninth or tenth volume, right? Is it close to getting done and what's stalling the author?

Again, I'd like to mention that this is the exact kind of series that I've looking for. Oh yeah.

I don't know. I mean what would be the conclusion? Either they all die, Rock goes completely off the deep end, or Revy leaves. We still don't know what's Dutch's deal.

In all seriousness though the english dub is really good.

No clue what's stalling the author. I still haven't been able to find any new information about when the hiatus is supposed to end. If ever.

Ahhh that would be sad pandas if he, or she, got tired of the series. How long has the hiatus been ongoing?
