...That was one of my favourite jokes in the game.
That bit is still there, it just has to be intentionally activated now.
Really? I tried to, but I guess its something you need to go out of your way for?
I liked Fi, it's just that they overtutorialized her.
I remember seeing a video (unfortunately, can't recall who from) where it was surmised that Fi's heavy tutorialization may have been a late addition in order to help along a perceived influx of first-time players with Skyward Sword.
It's been fun.that would make sense, but if that's what they were going for it definitely sealed Skyward Sword's fate of mediocrity.
which is a bit of a shame. there was definitely the possibility of Fi being beloved, even with SS's flaws
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeAm I the only want that wants a Twilight Princess sequel just to see Midna again?
A game set in Midna's world would be more interesting I think
New theme music also a boxNope. I've wanted Midna and the Twilight Realm as a whole to come back for years.
Midna is the best exposition fairy because she disguises her exposition fairy side with snark.
Also I want to see her and Ganondorf fight on camera if she ever comes back.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. If Tatl's expositing isn't entirely laced with "why don't you know this thing"...
You are correct and including her in this category.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Tatl is pretty annoying but she has some backstory and plot relevance I guess.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Okay, so she is one of the better ones...
Even without story relevance.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Midna's the fun kind of snark, Tatl just keeps insulting you again and again for not knowing things.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I would also like Midna to return.
At least she's in Hyrule Warriors, in two forms even. And Twili Midna is one of my favorite characters to play as.
But yes, return in a normal Zelda game, too.
I'm glad you only said that after the fact...
I said if her dialogue was "why don't you know this thing" and you just said she was annoying...which doesn't really answer that.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Newest Kit & Krysta was dedicated to their experiences preparing for E3 at NOA, with a brief focus on how the Zelda-only E3 2016 went down.
NCL told them that "BOTW, and only BOTW" was the plan before anyone at NOA had even gotten a chance to experience the game themselves outside of video footage. Everyone was far more confident once they got to play the demo themselves two weeks before the show though... sans one unnamed high-level exec who loudly proclaimed that the demo was boring, the game looked terrible, and Nintendo was going to be the laughingstock of the event.
The list was a ranking of how good morally the sidekicks were, with Linebeck being the least morally good and Spirt Tracks Zelda being the most morally good.
I have to admit that I originally thought that Nintendo's plans for E3 2016 seemed suicidal to me because of how risky they were (and being announced right after BOTW's second delay made it look even more like a desperate move). But man, it really worked wonders, so credit where credit is due!
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Ranking exposition fairies based on how much I enjoyed them:
Midna > King of Red Lions > Navi > Fi > Tatl
I have no strong feelings one way or the other about Fi and Tatl, though, so feel free to switch them around if Fi is too high for your tastes.
I also played Phantom Hourglass, but I never finished it (it's the only Zelda I ever bought and sold without actually finishing it), so rain check on Ciela and Linebeck.

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Which Zelda game has your favorite run of dungeons overall. Just, you like most-to-all of them.
For me... I'm tempted to say Majora's Mask, but it feels kind of cheap since there's only 4. So I'll also say Twilight Princess.
Ocarina of Time, no bones about it. Twilight Princess is a close second.
Honorary mention: the Forbidden Woods from Wind Waker.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Probably Twilight Princess, as it excels in quality and quantity.
Speaking of TP,... man, it's a nightmare to crosswick examples onto its TV Tropes page because of how trope-overdoed it is. Right now I'm bringing examples from tropes starting with C, and it's already been three hours since I began. It doesn't help that I've also had to crosswick examples from those same tropes to the previous 3D games, as I hadn't done so before due to being so overwhelmed. At this rate, at least one of the Zelda pages will likely have to be split into subpages.
Anyway, wish me luck!

Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I wouldn't put those in your mouth if I were you.
Will: Sorry, I mistranslated the word. Meant to say "demonized".
(In fact, after looking at an English dictionary, I thought the other word existed because I confused it with "sanitized", which actually has the opposite meaning)
Basically, I meant to say that two of the sidekicks got many complaints from fans and then Nintendo dropped the idea for BOTW, despite other games having had beloved sidekicks.
